A wise man once said 'A person is what he desires most.' In other words, one's desire is what truly makes a person.
The world of Gaia was just like earth, full of science and technology. The world was a peaceful one, until THEY came.
Demons, beings from other dimensions seeking planets with sentient life so they could get stronger, and there, they found Gaia. And with their coming came the Cynex, a pill which allows for the synchronization of a human's soul with a demon's.
This deal gave strength and power to the humans for the fulfillment of their desires. With this, chaos ensued.
Every man, woman and child fought to gain the Cynex but its components were so rare that all who tried failed, until 10 years later, when 12 people, known as the Exarchs, showed themselves to the world as the only successful people to gain the Cynex on Gaia. With the immense newfound power they had gained, they brought order back to the world as the rulers of Gaia.
They also started the sale of the Cynex pills, but due to its rarity, it was only for wealthy.
The world was stuck under the control of the 12 Exarchs, until a young boy fell upon the worst Cynex pill under the noses of the Exarchs, and trained this Cynex to make him one of the strongest in Gaia, all for his desire. This is his story.
