We parked at Wells Garden, and turned the car off. It was quiet. Too quiet. Meaning that they were here.
“Okay, Maddie, stay put.” James says and starts to get out of the car.
“We made a deal, James, I'm coming with.” I frown, putting my mask on.
“No, sorry, Angelo is gonna fill in. There’s too many men here.” James sighed. I was about to open my door but James quickly got out and locked it. Now, I can get into a locked car, but I can’t get out of it. I screamed.
“Angelo! James! Let me the f**k out!” I shouted. They rolled their eyes and continued walking into the woods. Those fuckers.
***
Three hours passed and I was getting worried. It normally only took them minutes to be done with a mission like this. I frowned and looked around the car. Then I huffed and turned on the car with the spare key I found on the dashboard. I jammed my elbow into the lock and the door swung open. Idiots.
I hop out, and tighten my mask on my face. It was a thick black one and it worked for many purposes. I quickly fixed my ponytail and put my hands in the pockets of my long black coat. Let’s do this.
I walked off in the direction Angelo and James went in. It took ten minutes of walking until I heard voices. Loud ones.
“You guys are f*****g retards!” Someone shouted. “You tried to recruit our men, and then when we catch you, you didn't have any backup?” I heard laughs. s**t. How many are we dealing with? “And you three! How could you betray us? I’m telling your father, Carter, and that’s final.” This guy was on a roll. But who’s Carter?
“Now, as for you two, you're dead.” I heard footsteps before I heard Angelo talk.
“Listen, we are only doing what we are told, can you let us explain?” He said. “I have a damn child and a wife!” He shouted. I heard laughs. I narrowed my eyes. No one, and I mean no one, laughs at my family.
“We’ll have to kill them too then, won’t we boys!” An old guy shouted. “Now, let’s start with a little countdown.”
“One..” The crowd started.
“You don’t have to do this, Tiago!!” A heard a guys voice shout. He sounded like he was struggling.
“Two..”
“Tiago!! Don’t!! I’ll stay in the gang!!” Another shouted. I chuckled.
“Three!” I shouted. I shot the two men that had guns on both Angelo and James’s heads, right between their eyes. I heard some gasps as they fell. I was still in hiding and they had yet to see me.
“What the f**k!” Someone shouted.
“You know, I first thought I could do this without killing you boys, but on second thought, who would pass up an opportunity like that!” I smiled. I heard some struggling and more gasps.
“It’s fifty against one!” Someone shouted.
“Actually it’s 48 against one. I counted.” I chuckled. I heard some grunts.
“Step out here you coward!” I chuckled at the weak attempt of getting to see me. But I went with it and stepped out. Jaws dropped, guns lowered, faces paled. I just smiled. I adjusted my mask on my face.
“Hello.” I said innocently. I waved.
I heard some grunts and gasps but I held my place. I smiled ear to ear. They stared at me as I walked over to Angelo and James. They were tied to trees.
“What the f**k do you think your doing?” Angelo said, a little scared. I sighed.
“You guys are idiots, having me clean up after you. Look at you.” I scolded. Once I untied them, they dropped to the ground. James groaned.
“You're not helping.” I narrowed my eyes. I had them sit against the trees, obviously not feeling too well, they were poisoned! I could tell by their faces. “Now, how should we do this?” I scanned the crowd. I didn’t see any familiar faces until my eyes stopped on the three guys in the back. Matt, Liam, and...Carter. What the f**k are they doing here?
I heard a loud gunshot, and I sidestepped just in time to see a bullet go flying by. I quickly pulled my gun out and shot a young guy in between the eyes.
“You shoot at me, you get shot.” I stated. “Okay, so, where are the guys I'm recruiting?” I ask. No one moved. “I don’t think you want me to repeat that question.” Someone in the back raised their hand. It was Carter. Holy f*****g s**t.
“That would be us.” He said, with a smirk. “You can wait to pick us up tomorrow. These guys are flying out to Russia to do business.” He said in front of them. I rolled my eyes.
“And why would I do that?” I said. Carter chuckled.
“48 against one.” He reminded me. I laughed.
“You can count! Wonderful. James, tell me again why we need these guys in the gang?” I ask, bored.
“Father's orders..” He grumbled. “And they are the best of the best.” He said. I sighed.
“They seem quite stupid though. Have you noticed that?” I chuckled. Carter narrowed his eyes. “Now, who’s up for a fight?” I said. The men all smirked.
“War!” One shouted. I raised an eyebrow.
“f*****g big heads, this isn’t war, it’s gang against gang.” I declared. I took a step, and before the gang could move, I shot everyone in the front row in the forehead. It was silent.
“f**k you!” A guy shouted.
“You're dead.” I heard James mutter. The guy charged at me and I chuckled. I quickly kicked him in the head and shot him in the heart. “Told you, buddy.” I laughed at what James was saying.
After a couple guys later, I didn’t have any bullets left. I frowned. 26 left. s**t.
“What’s wrong, princess? Your bullets run out?” I hear Carter snicker. I narrow my eyes.
“Okay then.” I threw my gun to the side. I took off my coat to reveal my top and leggings. The guys stared at my ass, and not even acknowledging we were in the middle of a gang against gang. “Eyes are up here.” I said through the mask. While they stared, I kicked two guys in the head and took a knife from one of their pockets and stabbed their foreheads.
I quickly made my way around, choking, dodging, kicking, punching, snapping necks. It was fun. I chuckled when there were only ten guys left. I picked up a gun from the ground.
“Get the f**k untied, you three.” I said to Carter, Matt, and Liam. They were almost untied so in the seconds that they stood up, I shot all ten guys in the heart.
“How..the..fuck..” Angelo said in awe. I turned around and smiled.
“You missed a lot, big bro.” I winked. I turned back to Carter who was standing with Liam and Matt on both sides. “And you three, well, you doubted me so i’m guessing you have s**t to say?” I ask.
“What the f**k was that? How the f**k did you do that? How old are you? What’s your name? Who are you? How?” Liam rushed out. Matt patted him on the back and I chuckled.
“What he said.” Carter grumbled. I rolled my eyes.
“Go help Angelo and James up.” I said to them. Angelo and James waved, and I laughed at how weak they looked. The three boys rolled their eyes and walked over to them and helped them up. Matt helped James up, and Liam helped Angelo up. Carter just trailed next to me. They all kind of followed me to the car.
“So, who are you?” Matt asked. Just outside the car, I stopped.
“That’s Angelo. He’s the oldest brother I have at 29. He’s pretty cool, but often a jerk.” I winked at Angelo. He glared at me. “And that’s James. He’s the second oldest brother at 27. He’s a bit of a softie.” I said. James smiled and waved.
“And who are you?” Carter asked, something swirling in his blue eyes I couldn’t decipher. I almost forgot my mask was still on. Oh well.
“I’m Madeline. Madeline Rey.” I said. Liam widened his eyes.
“The Madeline Rey?” He asked. I raised an eyebrow. “Everybody talks about you! You're like...a legend!” He squeals. I chuckle.
“Not really, but ok.” I shrug. “So that means that your Liam, and your Matt, and you..Carter Black. Chris Blacks son. Nice to meet you all.” I said, using my knowledge, even though I already knew their names.
“That would be us..” Matt says. “You're like the third Maddie person I've met today.” He sighed. I smirked under the mask.
“Who have you already met?” James yawned as we all got in the car. I snatched the driver's seat.
“Well there is Maddie from school. She’s nice, I think she’s our friend..” Matt trailed. “And then I went to a fight after school with these two, and holy hell, the Madeline that fought tonight, she was good.” I chuckled. “And then you, Madeline.” He shrugs.
“I guess you’ve met a lot of Maddies today then.” I said. I slowly took off the mask.
“Yeah! Like wow.” Matt sighs. I smile and put my mask down and start the car. "Wait...Maddie? From school? You're her?" He said as he glanced at my face. The shock was clearly written on his face.
"Maddie?" Carter asked. I smiled.
"Yeah, hi." I chuckled. They all just gaped at me.
"So then who really are you?" Liam asked. I shrugged.
“Save that for later." I said. I was about to leave the parking lot but something caught my eye. "Ok, hold on. Who the f**k is that?” I say looking through the river view mirror. A black car filled with guys pulled in next to us.
“Father.” Carter said breathlessly. “Holy shit.” He looked panicked. I rolled down my window and looked at the guys next to us. The one nearest to me looked just like The Carter.
