The house fell silent again, too silent. Lisa sat on the edge of the bed in the guest room, arms folded across her chest, listening to the ticking clock above the door. The minutes passed, and then more. Her legs swung idly, brushing the rug as her eyes traced the wallpaper. Earlier, this morning, had she imagined it? Her stomach fell. The one who turned off the camera was in this house. That camera was directly facing Arthur's penthouse and she had seen the red dot blink off… She wasn’t crazy. But who was crazy enough to do that? Her brows creased as she bit her lower lip, remembering the silhouette she’d caught from her half-lidded eyes.
