what comes to everyone's mind when they hear the name, Devon Washington Jnr, terror, bloodthirsty, cruel, heartless all sort of things that make you break into cold sweat, sending shivers down your spine. but the Devon Jnr standing in front of me shirt stained in blood was nothing like people whispered, I could see panick in his green eyes as he blocked me from the bullet that was about to send me to my maker if at all I was going to make it to his golden gates. Madel, Madel Dennison by name. you might be wondering what a brown skin fresh out of college girl doing in an all white party full of influencal people. Here is how it all started growing up, I have always had one parent my mum, never knew my father never asked needless to think why, my mother had always being enough if you ask me, why will I bother when you have who is everything and more strict than any father could ever seen. I would say I am lucky is just having a father, a mother and a friend. Jackpot was the only word that could describe her. I had my primary and secondary education in one of the top 10 catholic school, graduated and applied for a scholarship to school out of land. I still remember vividly like it was just yesterday how I knelt down receiving blessings from my mother a night before my flight, I can still feel her warm hug.Leaving my home land was the best thing that could have ever happen, it was definitely my time to create havoc around the world. settling in college my made a friend Wisten, if there was male version of me then it was Wisten Kerne. our first meeting was when we both went to mess with the male students in their hostels, setting up fake smoke just to trigger the fire alarm, making all the students run out. college days was a never ending fun, we ended in police station a few times but always find a way out despite been in trouble always Wisten and I graduated in excellence. "Tell why you major in your field of study, and why we should hire you?” when asked many said because of their dreams, some went ahead to ramble how they wanted to impact to the world but we all know that was a whole lot of bullshit. "didn't get the job right?" Wisten asked as we sat in a restaurant waiting for our food to be served. I nodded looking out of the window lost in thought, the more I thought about it the more I get pissed off. "the b***h had a problem with me having brown skin, but that's understandable she doesn't know how to admire beautiful things but having a problem with me being slim? who does that?" i finally explode throwing my hand in frustration, Wisten sat down laughing like he was having the best time of his life, he must have missed me ranting we haven't had time to hang out since we were out college. Wisten phone rang through the meal, "i heard you are having lunch with my soon to be daughter in law" Mrs Kerne said from the other side making Madel chock on her drink and Wisten speechless, "mum what are hell are you talking about?" Madel asked after catching her breath. she has always taking Wisten's family as her own, "Madel dear when are you coming home to visit mum?" Mrs Kerne asked with flattery tone. "Last time she came you almost tricked her to adoption" Wisten said as he finally got his voice back. Mrs Kerne hunged up the phone afraid of being guilty. "your mum gives me goosebumps" Madel said rubbing her arms. "spill it" Madel said to Wisten taking a sip of her drink "the Washington family banquet is next week... are you interested?" Wisten asked stressing his words as he smiled mischievously "sure" Madel answered smiling finally some fun it's been I long time.
