Natalie's face turned pale, her heart sinking. Edward had actually hurt Adam all those years ago, and she was only finding out now! Edward had lied to her for so long. Anger and heartbreak surged through her.
Natalie's reaction caused a flicker in Adam's eyes. He suddenly grabbed her wrist, about to say something when a loud bang echoed as Paul got out of the car, glaring at Adam.
At that moment, Adam's phone rang. It was a sharp, distinctive ringtone.
His hazel eyes narrowed, his expression changing drastically. He closed his eyes, finally letting go of Natalie and turning to run away.

Natalie tried to follow, but Paul rushed over. "Miss, there's breaking news from Arlandia."
