Natalie had been married to Edward, the charismatic President of Arlandia, for three years. But on the very day she discovers she's pregnant, Edward drops a bombshell—he wants a divorce.

Heartbroken, Natalie returns to her homeland of Belvaria, the country where she has always known she belongs—because she's the royal family's long-lost princess. Welcomed back with all the grandeur of royalty, the king and queen are eager to find her a husband worthy of her status.

When Edward arrives in Belvaria for an official visit, he's blindsided by the sight of Natalie surrounded by wealthy, powerful suitors vying for her attention. Jealousy eats away at him as he watches the woman he let go slip further out of his reach.

Edward soon realizes their divorce was the result of a devastating misunderstanding, and worse yet, Natalie is carrying his child. Overcome with guilt and longing, he embarks on a relentless, all-consuming quest to win her back, no matter the cost.

Chapter 1 Where Is He?
"Once Edward gets back, I'll tell him the good news!" Natalie was sitting in the bedroom of the Presidential Residence, holding today's pregnancy test results while chatting with her best friend, Kate. Her voice was full of joy, and her face radiated pure happiness. "Congratulations, Natalie! I'm so happy for you," Kate replied, her tone equally excited. Then she hesitated, her voice softening. "But... don't you think it's time to be honest with Edward? You've given so much for him, and now you're having your first child together." Edward's deep brown eyes flashed in Natalie's mind. She knew their marriage wasn't built on love, but over the past three years, she'd occasionally glimpsed moments of fiery passion in those eyes. Maybe it was time to be brave. "You're right," Natalie said, biting her lip, determination sparking in her eyes. "I want my baby to grow up in a loving family. I'll call Edward and talk to him." Ending the call with Kate, Natalie looked again at the test results, unable to resist gently touching her stomach. It was still flat, but inside, a tiny spark of hope had begun to grow. Suddenly, her phone buzzed with a notification. She picked it up, her blissful smile freezing on her face. Her sister, Lucy Davis, had sent her a photo. In the picture, her husband, Edward, was in bed—with Lucy. The room's background was unmistakable: it was Edward's bedroom at his mother, Susan's, house. Natalie stared at the photo in disbelief, gripping her phone so tightly her knuckles turned white. It felt like her heart was bleeding. This was supposed to be one of the happiest days of her life. She couldn't wait to share the joy with her husband. But now... her husband—who was supposed to be home—was in bed with someone else. No. This couldn't be real. Edward had an important banquet tonight. His secretary had just confirmed it not long ago. This had to be one of Lucy's cruel tricks. Natalie shoved the pregnancy test results into her bag and, with trembling hands, dialed Edward's number. Pick up. Please pick up. She silently begged, hoping with all her heart that Edward would answer and explain it all away as a misunderstanding. But the phone rang endlessly, the empty sound crushing her hope bit by bit. Her heart felt like it had been ripped open, cold winds rushing through the void. She knew Edward might not love her. She'd always known their marriage was more of a necessity than a choice. But why? Why today, of all days—when she thought they might finally turn a corner, when her marriage and love seemed full of promise—did he have to shatter everything so brutally? She couldn't take it. Natalie stood up. The car sped down the road, and an hour later, she pulled up outside Susan's villa. She had to see it for herself. Despite the gut-wrenching pain, a sliver of hope still lingered. Maybe Lucy was lying. Maybe the photo was fake. Maybe Edward hadn't betrayed her. Natalie got out of the car and walked to the front door. Taking a deep breath, she rang the doorbell with a trembling hand. Susan, dressed in her nightgown, answered the door. Her expression soured at the sight of Natalie. "What are you doing here? You're not welcome in my house!" "I'm here for Edward," Natalie said firmly, brushing past Susan without waiting for a reply. Susan's eyes flashed with panic. "Hey! What do you think you're doing? Edward's already asleep. Stop right there—" But Natalie ignored her, climbing the stairs quickly until she reached Edward's bedroom. She raised a hand and pushed the door open with all her strength.
