It felt good to be out, it felt good to be on the beach, it felt good to share this moment with my kids.
“you guys want to sit down on the sand?”
The kids said yes loudly and we walked back to our shoes. The three of us sat down, I looked to the ocean while the kids started to play with the sand. As I was watching the kids build a castle made of sand my purse vibrated indicating that someone was calling me.
I took the phone out to say Vincenzo’s name on the screen. I accepted the call. “Hey!”
“Are you out?” was the first thing he asked.
“Uh yea, me and the kids are on the beach near our house.” I answered him.
