“Welcome home Papa!” Aurora said that she pulled away and pecked his cheek quickly.
Watching his sister Silvio too kissed Vincenzo’s other cheek. “Welcome home Papa!” he said mimicking his sister.
Vincenzo as well as I was taken aback by their gestures. I mean yes, the kids left their father but I had never seen them being so affectionate with him so openly. And by the look on Vincenzo’s face, he was most shocked, to the point that his eyes became glossy. The big bad mafia boss was reduced to tears by his own children. The thought was somehow funny to me as I chuckled quietly to myself.
He snapped out of whatever trance he was in and saw me laughing at him silently. A beautiful smile bloomed on his face as he got up and picked the twins up and walked to me.
