The shopkeeper’s eyes instantly lit up after the guard told him that I will purchase it.
“Perfetto! (perfect!)” the man exclaimed. “Che messaggio vorresti che scrivessimo sul braccialetto? (What message would you like us to write on the bracelet?)”
The guard looked at me. “ the man is asking what message would you like them to carve on the bracelet.”
“ask him for a pen and paper so I can write my message down on it.” I said to the guard.
“Date alla signora carta e penna in modo che possa scrivere il messaggio. (Give madam a pen and paper so she can write down the message.)” the guard said to the store manager.
