Chapter 2. The Encounter

Elena's Pov
I woke up still behind the tree the next morning,Sunlight burning through my skin.
My heart won't stop breaking,and every breath felt like daggers piercing through it.
The bond was broken, and I was bleeding- tormented by pain that never stopped.
"Elena",someone called from behind."Where are you?"
Caroline's voice whispered.
My bestfriend stood before me,her eyes filled with tears.She had been crying the whole night,worried sick about me.She cried for me when no one did.
I raised my head away from the sunlight and took the hand she extended to me."I won't survive."
"Yes you will"
"No, I won't"
"Don't be like that,"she said ,her voice breaking."Don
't even think it."
To What end?The goddess had decided to ruin me by giving me a mate that will kill me.The bond couldn't be fully broken.
It was impossible- not between two souls meant to be.The alingnment went as far back as time itself.
But it had been split into two parts,and now it felt displaced,Like something sacred and precious had been broken and never fully pieced back togather.
"Why does he hate me?"I whispered.
"Who?"
"Alpha Igor Volkov."Tears welled up in my eyes."What have I done to deserve all this?"
Caroline said nothing.She held my face resting our forehead togather.
I couldn't eat.I couldn't even sleep.
I paced back and forth in my tiny room,struggling not to remember what a flicker of hope felt like.
I looked outside it was full moon.I felt this rather strange feeling building up in my chest then,down between my legs.
My wolf surface for the first time since our rejection,pushing forward with sudden urgency.
When my door was violently pulled off the hinge.I screamed,quickly crawled within the closets,with my heart to the floor.
Standing in the doorway was Alpha Igor Volkov.But this wasn't the Alpha I saw earlier at the hall.He was panting heavily,his eyes dark glowing with evil intent,blood all over his mouth and face he looked in-human surrounded by darkness.
Beads of blood dripped down his claws,with a deranged smile on his face.
"Mine."The word was a growl.
He stepped inside,the air felt dark and very cold,accompained by something evil and resentful.The whispers were true afterall.The demon that took over every full moon.
The power that makes him dangerous.
I had those whispers.We all Did.The great Alpha who get Possess by a demon during the full moon.Who becomes more demon than man.
Pack members locked their homes on these nights,praying.
And now here,he was in my room.Searching for me like I was Prey.
"I hid deeper within the closets"
He kept fliping everything.Until he was left with the closets,pulling the door from the hinges.
His big rough hand gripped my arms,and his face pressed against my hair as he took a deep breath.
"You belong to me",he growled again.
"You rejected me"My voice broke."You don't want me."
"You belong to me."He pulled me up against the wall,and before I could process what was happening,he bared his teeth against my neck.
I tried to plead and fight my way out.
Tried to claw my way out.But his strengths was beyound me.The moment his teeth dug deep into my neck,a rush of heat I felt before between my legs intensified,overwhelming and painful.
It all felt wrong.He had rejected me,humiliated and abondned me with no care in the world.
But that heats between my legs had no regrets.
My wolf welcomed his closeness and mark.
All they cared about was that Alpha Igor our mate wanted us,sniffing and marking us.
His teeth left my neck after he had marked me.And processed to rip my clothes off.
"Don't I beg you."
He refused to stop his assult.The demon had taken full charge and now was in complete control.
His eyes now glowing deep red.And his assult more aggressive and desperate.
He took away my innocence that very night.
I felt deep pain.Not just on my body but somewhere deeper. My soul felt violated and unclean,damaged by a creature I know nothing of.
I resigned to my fate.just left my body numb,while my heart bled,and my wolf moved excitedily inside my head chanting "mate"like he was some answered prayer.
When he took what he wanted and was sastified,he rolled away laying breathlessly beside me.His breathing ragged and unstable.
The deep red as now slowly faded from his eyes,replaced by the dark eyes.
In an Instant I saw the horror on his face.At what he had done.We stared at each other eyes locked,I stood up wrapping the sheet over me.
He had disappeared all over again leaving me with bloodstains between my legs and a broken heart.
I cried for hours.Untill my eyes were empty.My heart heavy with pain,and my wolf broken once again.My wolf whimpered."He doesn't still want us,Elena.He never really did."
Maybe this was a sign for something.Maybe,somewhere within all the bruatality and wilderness he probably wanted me.Maybe it was how he knew to show it,dark and sicking.
I sat on my bed watching the sunrise,a knock pulled me out of my deep thoughts.
I carried my trembling legs,Lizzy stood outside,her filled with anger.
"You have been instructed by Alpha luca to be free of all omega duties,"she said.Her voice spiteful and resentiful.This was no way to seeking my forgiveness.Just an act of fear.
She looked at me before walking away,giving no time for my response.
I took a deep breath.
Frees me?he wanted me now to leave like a member of the pack?
My wolf pushed forward,wondering."What happening?"
Why does he want to free us.Something wasn't adding up"
I dressed up not in an apron.But a nice dressed I had saved for a special occasion,hair in a nice tight ponytail,and a bit of powder caroline once gave me for my birthday.
This was it.My time.I could finally be seen and counted as a member of the pack,and maybe he would also come to see my worth oneday.
"So you cleaned up well", Lizzy whispered.Her eyes were wild with rage."Please I don't... "What?"
"You now think you are better than me."
Her voice dropped dangeriously low."like you are now one of us?Soon you will go missing permently like every one of them."
"Missing?"
"She moved closer now."She scanned the environment making sure we were alone."Cause either he kill you when that demon takes over.
Or I will do it myself.Either way,you will be no more than the dust."
"How...do you plan to kill me? I won't run anymore- not from you or him.So....you better get on with it."
