Chapter 28 Ana   The silence loomed in my bedroom like a heavy mist in the woods. The bright rays of sunshine gleamed against my bare flesh as my drowsy eyes simply looked at the sight in front of me. I watched the darkness disappear, and the sunrise. The time passed by slowly, and I didn’t move. It almost felt I was paralyzed, but in fact, I was numb, unable to move or utter a word. Tears blurred my vision as I looked outside my window. Cars and kids passed by. School buses arrived and honked. People left for work. Kids went to school. In the midst of everything, I stayed numb on my bed.
