My Love or Duty

Singing in the meadow had always been part of me, the only problem was, I had to sneak out in order to go to the meadow. My step mom never let me go out, unless it was time to get bread from the bakery. The bakery wasn't far from home, she knew it was only a matter of time to go and return. Life hadn't been easy, since my dad passed away. The only person I could talk to was my best friend, Grace. Grace had always been there for, stood by me and sometimes covered for me when I sneak to the meadow. "I would love to see the town someday",I would always tell Grace, she would reply"patience Becca, I believe you would someday". One beautiful bright morning, I woke up to do all my chores, I took my basket and told my step mom I was heading to the bakery to get bread. So as I left the house, I felt the weather so beautiful, thinking to myself I said, *this is a good weather to be in the meadow* so as I sang, I made my way to the meadow. Sitting on the grass I carried on my singing, the meadow used to very quiet and lonely, it was a hiding place for me and I used to be there alone. But that very day, there was a strange man sitting in meadow, I noticed as I looked a far rough and music seemed to have startled him and we looked at each for a while
