"How did you do that?" Cathy couldn't contain her excitement, though she was just as surprised as the others. She knew Mike was very talented, but she didn't expect him to be so powerful.
According to her initial predictions, Mike should have been able to hold off until the end but that would also be his limit. She didn't foresee that he would cripple Zaiden.
"What did I do?" Mike said.
"How can a fifth stage cripple a seventh stage?" Cathy repeated.
"It's mostly technique," Mike explained. "Zaiden was too careless."
Cathy beamed and said, "This is the first time I don't feel pitiful seeing you full of injuries."
"They're all flesh wounds," Mike reassured. "My bones are in one piece."
