Chapter One

Alexia Rebecca Martinez is the only child of her Mexican immigrant parents. Her family was well to do. She is a 5.2 feet cheerleader, with big brown eyes, a typical Mexican girl body shape and a thick shiny black hair. Alexia is the school sweetheart, innocent at heart and ready to give the sweetest smiles. Alexia had just broken up with Jake Simmons, the football club captain because he cheated on her with Britney Noah, captain of the cheerleading squad. Alexia is your regular school girl, going to school and back home, she was never an outgoing person, only went out to family dinners and occasional shopping with friends and mom. Alexia lived a drama free life, until the Australian transfer student came along.

It was a buzz that fateful Wednesday morning as the news had gone round the school of an Australian transfer student coming in their last year in high school.

“I heard Australian men are hunks”, Britney stated.

“Excuse me, I thought you are with Jake now”, Lexie asked in her full Mexican accent.

“Yeah, so”, she answered with a sneer.

“Hi girls”, Kia Caden, Alexia’s Asian-American best friend called out.

“Oh hi, when did you get back?” Lexie asked.

“That’s not what important. Tell me about the transfer student”, Kia exclaimed. The girl’s all burst out laughing.

“We don’t know much about him either, we just know he’s coming to join us from Australia”, Lexie answered. “Anyways, enough of the transfer student, let’s get to practice”.

Later in the day, Lexie went out to buy some groceries and bumped into someone.

“Oh sorry!” She exclaimed, she was about to apologize again and maybe explain to him, only to behold such great beauty of a man. Her words struck in her mouth, which was left wide open.

“Hi...hi”, she greeted him. He turned around bent down and picked her apple that fell during the bump.

“Hi, I’m Luca”, the stranger spoke.

“I’m sorry are you new in town?” She asked.

“Oh yeah, I moved here last weekend from Australia”, Luca answered.

“Oh you are the new guy from Australia”, she said with her face lit with surprise. “That would be me”, he smiled at her. She suddenly felt uncomfortable, she was sweating profusely, and she could feel the blush creeping up her cheeks.

“I’m sorry, I have to go or I would be late”, she stated and turned to go.

A hand suddenly grabbed her hand and jerked her to him; she turned around and found herself looking into his dangerously piercing chestnut brown eyes.

“Wouldn’t it be rude to leave without saying your name”, he said. She couldn’t hear a word he said, because she was already swimming in the deep valley of his eyes and she could feel her heart thumping violently against her chest. She found herself falling for his chestnut eyes.

“Hey”, he called.

“What?” She stuttered.

“Your name?” He smirked.

“Oh yes, forgive my manners. My name is Alexia Martinez”.

“Good see in school Mexico”, he called then smirked and walked away. There and then she knew she was in a lot of trouble.
