Her hand was shaking and sweaty as she took the pen from Jackson. She still can’t believe that she’d actually done this. Elliot was also there as their witness. Well, to be frank, his presence only adds the awkwardness between them. It was weird getting married to your best friend while your ex-husband is watching from behind.
She turned her head to see Elliot, and after seeing his nods, she took a deep breath and signed the paper quickly before she could change her mind. There! It was official now. She was now Jackson Gray’s wife. Not even in her wildest dream, she imagined getting married to Jackson. Not that she didn’t like him.
He was just not into commitment, changing women every single week. That was the only flaw that Brooke could point out from him.
She looked up, and soon, his grey eyes met with hers. She felt her heart hammered against her ribcage as she saw him smiled at her. As if he wanted to tell her that it was okay. What was she thinking? Jackson is the right man for this. She couldn’t imagine getting married to a stranger other than him. They already know each other long enough before. She knows that she could trust him.
“Congratulation, Mr. and Mrs. Gray…” The judge said. Brooke suddenly snapped back to reality at that. She smiled awkwardly at the man and back at Jackson.
“I think we should celebrate….” Jackson said as the three of them went out from the building. He draped his arms over their shoulder, one arm to Brooke and the other to Elliot. Brooke throws him a glare. “Jackson, we both know that this was only for the sake of my business, right?” she said resentfully at him.
“Oh, come on, Brooke…Loosen up a little.” He said with a smirk. His face was too close to her, for a moment, she forgot to breathe.
“Count me in…! I need a few drinks myself.” Elliot suddenly said. He suddenly felt uneasy, realizing the fact that his wife was now getting married to another man. Jackson smiled from ear to ear.
“Good then, see you both at the usual place.” He said, hopping into his car.

“I don’t know why you’re agreeing to this, Elliot.” Brooke said as she applied her lipstick. She wore a sleeveless heart-shaped velvet little black dress for tonight. The dress had a high slit on the side, and it stopped at the middle of her thigh.
She styled her hair into a loose curl to add more sexiness to her look tonight. Elliot wrapped his arms around her waist from behind and slowly turned her body around, facing him.
“I never thought it was going to be this hard before, Brooke….” Desperation filled his voice. He then buried his face on her hair, feeling its softness. “You’re the one who suggested this in the first place,” Brooke spoke softly as she hugged him back, sinking deep into the warmth of his body.
“I know…That’s why I need a drink.” He then said before he claimed her lips. His hand went behind her neck, pulling her closer towards him as he deepened the kiss. He ran his tongue over her lips, and she slowly granted access to her mouth. “Or maybe we can just skip and do some other thing…” Brooke said with a seductive smile.
Elliot let out a low growl before he hoisted her feet up to his waist and carried her to bed. His hands were touching her everywhere as lust had completely taken them over. As she fumbled to find his shirt button, he suddenly pulled away.
“We can’t bail on Jackson...” he suddenly said. “W-What??” Brooke said, stuttering in disbelief. Elliot got up from the bed and fixed his shirt. He stretched out his hand for her, helping her to get up. He pulled her hand, making her fall onto his hard chest. “But I promise we will finish what we started after meeting Jackson.” He said with a promising smirk.
Brooke giggled and nods before she went towards the mirror, checking on her look. It appears that she only smeared her lipstick, and her lips were slightly swollen from the kiss. But other than that, her makeup was still on point.
“Ready to go now…?” Elliot then said. He leaned on the wall beside the mirror as he looked at her intently. “Damn it, Brooke…You look hot.” He said with a husky voice. “You think so? I’ll go change…” Brooke said, but Elliot held her hand back, stopping her.
“No, You’re being ridiculous…Just stay beside me the whole time.” He then said with a smile and pecked her lips. “Very well, Mr. Smith…I’ll cling on you like a leech tonight,” Brooke replied teasingly at him. “A very beautiful leech, I might add…Mrs. Smith.” Elliot said.
It was strange how wrong it sounds right now. “Or should I say…Mrs. Gray?” He said, sounded sad. Brooke cupped his face. “It will always be Mrs.Smith for me…You can keep my promise,” Brooke told him, looking straight to his eyes.
Elliot looked down without saying anything. “Can we go now?” He then finally said after what felt like a century to Brooke. “I thought you’d never ask…” She said with a smirk.

The sound of the loud music boomed inside the club. They used to go to this club during high school, but after they got married, they barely had any extra time to clubbing since they’ve been so busy with their business.
Elliot’s eyes roamed around the room, and soon his eyes found Jackson, sitting by the bar by himself. Brooke went towards him with Elliot, and before they got there a woman with a very skimpy outfit came to Jackson. “Hello there, handsome…” She said, as she placed her hand on top of his.
Jackson was about to tell her to get lost when Brooke suddenly stood beside him and grabbed his arm. “I’m sorry I’m late, baby….” Brooke said with a fake sweet voice. Jackson was half surprised and amused by her action. But he was more surprised by how good she looks tonight. She was like a s*x goddess. Is this the same woman that he just married a couple of hours ago?
The w***e looks like she would spit fire from her mouth as Brooke swatted her hand away from Jackson.
Jackson cleared his throat before he pulled Brooke by her waist. “Who are you?” The woman said, throwing a disdainful look at Brooke. She smiled victoriously at her before she turned at Jackson.
“Baby, why don’t you tell her?” She said, now putting her hand on his chest. “She’s my wife,” Jackson said without blinking. The woman looked surprised then stomped away angrily, leaving them.
“I think you’re enjoying this a little bit too much, Brooke…” he said after the woman left. “You should thank me, Jackson…Even the smell of her perfume is suffocating me,” Brooke said, putting a dreadful look on her face. He laughs out loud. “You can come in handy sometimes…” he teased as he brings the whiskey glass to his lips. Brooke rolled back her eyes at him.
“Jackson doesn’t need to be saved, Brooke….” Elliot suddenly interrupted and took a seat beside her. Jackson ordered a drink for them and they talked, purely just spending a good time together.
“Brooke, let’s dance…” Elliot suddenly pulled her hand, but she firmly refused because she already felt a little bit dizzy from drinking. “No, thanks…I think I’ll just watch you from here.” She replied. Elliot was a little bit hesitant about leaving her alone in her seat, but Jackson could easily read his mind.
“I’ll watch over her…Don’t worry.” He then said to Elliot.
Elliot curved a smile at him before he sauntered towards the dance floor. Brooke watches him started to dance, and she just realized that they never had fun in such a long time. Maybe a little bit of fun is all they need in their marriage.
“Have I told you that you looked stunning tonight?” Jackson suddenly said in her ears. She looked back at him in shock, “Don’t try to flirt with me, Jackson…You know it won’t work.” She replied, then downed her drink. He chuckled before he replied again, “Well, at least I could try…” he shrugged his shoulder.
Brooke couldn’t help but to watch him back. He looked good himself in his slim-fit white shirt and faded jeans that make his muscles look more prominent. He was never this ripped before, he must’ve worked out a lot lately. She must’ve gone mad for thinking about him this way.
She desperately needs another drink. “Stop it, Brooke…This is your fifth glass already,” Jackson said, holding her hand. “Just let me have it…You told me yourself that I need to loosen up.” She said before finishing another glass.
By the time she put down her glass, her head is spinning. She could even saw three Jackson in front of her. “Brooke…Are you okay?” His voice echoes in her head, and she just let out a giggle. “s**t! You’re drunk. Let me get Elliot.” She could faintly hear him say those words.
Jackson went to the dancefloor, but he wasn’t there anymore. He called his phone, but it went to his voicemail. This is just great…He had no idea where they lived!
He went back towards the drunk Brooke and tried his luck talking to her. “Let’s get out of here…” Jackson said, supporting her with his arms. He took her to his car and put her in the passenger seat.
“I’m going to take you home, okay?” Jackson said, cupping her face. His eyes went from her breast down to her exposed thigh. Her dress was slightly lifted up, giving him a full view of her slender feet. He desperately wants to kiss her now, but he knows that idea itself is forbidden. “Damn it, Brooke!” He cursed out loud before he went to sit on the driver seat and revved up the engine.
“Okay, so where to?” He asked her again, but she won’t respond. “Brooke, come on…I need you to show me the way,” Jackson said, pleading at her. “To the left…” she slurred, and he soon followed. “Then?” He asked again, but she had already closed her eyes.
“Brooke, come back with me…Where to now?” Jackson said after he pulled over in the middle of nowhere. He then had no other option but to bring her to his place for tonight. There’s no way he’s leaving her on the street alone.
Brooke slept during the whole drive back to his place. “Hey…We’re here. Come on, Brooke.” Jackson softly patted her shoulder to wake her up. She stirred a bit as Jackson unclasped her seatbelt.
He stopped as their eyes met, and for the first time, they both wanted the same thing. “Kiss me…” she spoke softly at him. He wanted to say no and turn her offer down, but he finally let his heart win this time.
“Ah, f**k it!” he said, then he pressed his lips against hers.
