His lips moved expertly above hers. He already wanted to do this since the first time he saw Brooke in school, but she chose Elliot instead of him.
He was a shy guy who likes to sit in the back part of the class, and she was a badass who likes to arrive late in the class.
He still remembers that day clearly in the back of his mind. Jackson was surprised when suddenly Brooke put her bag beside him after sneaking into the classroom. He always keeps a low profile and had no friends, but Brooke invaded his personal barrier.
“Hey, can we share the book? I kind of forgot to bring mine…” Brooke said with a sheepish smile. Jackson can’t get mad at her since he found her cute. “Umm…sure.” He then said as he slid the book between them. She then smiled at him. “I’m Brooklyn…but you can call me Brooke.”
And that’s how they first met…
*********
Jackson carried her in his arms bridal style towards the bedroom. She won’t stop touching and kissing him everywhere, and it drives him mad. It was hard for him to restrain himself from taking advantage of her right now.
“Brooke, I swear if you don’t stop….” She only giggled with her half-opened eyes. “Why? You don’t like me? I’m YOUR WIFE! You i***t!? My ex-husband said that I look hot tonight…” she shouted and then pouted her lips. He sighed as he struggles to open the door while carrying her.
He carefully put her on the bed, and she instantly curled up. “This sheet is nice…” she slurred as she stroked her face on the silk pillow. Jackson let out a small chuckle as he finds her annoying and cute at the same time, but he then went panic as she instantly got up and looked like she was about to throw up.
“No, not in the bed!..” he quickly helped her into the bathroom. She vomited all of her stomach content in the sink, and it gets into her dress as well. Jackson helped to pull her hair as he patted her back slowly.
After vomiting, she leaned forward to the sink. “Oh, my dress is dirty…” she then wailed like a small child. “Sshhh…It’s okay. Wait for me here…” Jackson then went to get clean clothes for her. He almost dropped the clothes to the floor as he found her only in her underwear by the time he entered the bathroom.
She struggled to get out from her dress and bend down, giving him a full view of her round butt cheeks. He looked away to stop himself from staring. “Wear this…” he said curtly before he went out.
He looked at his reflection in the mirror, and his face was blushing red. This is just doesn’t make any sense to him. It wasn’t the first time for him to see a woman’s body, but when it comes to Brooke, he suddenly went back to the shy kid that he used to be in high school.
He waited on the bed for her, but she never came out. Jackon knocked softly while pressing his ear to the door. “Brooke, have you finished yet?” he asked, and no answer from her. He was started to get worried. Does she faint there inside?
As he came in, he saw Brooke sleeping near the bathtub. He felt relieved to see her already wearing some clothes. He then went closer towards her and scooped her up from the floor.
He carefully put her back on the bed and tugged her under the blanket. She smiled after she felt warm, and Jackson moved a hair from her face. This woman turns out to be hard to handle while she’s drunk. “Good night, Brooke...” He spoke softly. He was about to kiss her on the lips, wanting to feel its softness one more time, but he stopped himself and kissed her forehead instead.
*************
Brooke woke up the next morning with a bad hangover. She was surprised to see herself wearing a man’s clothes. What happened last night? This is not her home. Where is Elliot?
She went out from the bedroom, and a middle-aged lady suddenly greeted her. “Good morning, Mrs. Gray…What would you like for breakfast?” she asked politely with a smile. Mrs. Gray? So this is Jackson’s house? Brooke frowned a bit but not giving her any answer.
“She would have the same with me….” A familiar voice suddenly came from behind her. She turned back and saw Jackson. The maid nodded at him and left them both there. He looked like he just finished his exercise in the morning. Her eyes lingered on his ripped torso, and she catches him smirking at her.
“Like what you see?” he said before walking closer towards her. As he went closer, she took a step back, “W-What are you doing? Stop right there!” Brooke said, and he actually stops on his way.
“What’s the matter, Brooke?” he asked her with a grin. “Why did she called me Mrs. Gray? Why am I here? And most importantly…Why am I wearing your clothes?! Did something happened between us last night?” she bombarded him with many questions. He raised one eyebrow intently and proceeded to walk towards her.
“You forgot?” he said, stopping in front of her. “Women tend to remember after spending a night with me.” He caged her between his arms and the table behind her. Wait, since when there’s a table there?
She unexpectedly pushed him back. “No, I don’t…” She admitted.
“We kissed last night!” he said, and her eyes widened at that. “What did you say? That’s impossible…” she said, clasping her mouth with both hands. Then the memory of last night ran back to her mind. She could faintly remember she drank a lot last night, and Jackson stopped her.
She remembers being in his car and then what happened after it was all black to her. “D-Did we s-slept together last night?” She stammered as she asked him that question. She took a mental note to not drink too much again in the future because she tends to do a foolish thing while she wasn’t sober.
Jackson soon stopped teasing her as he saw her about to burst into tears. “N-no…We didn’t.” He sighed. Brooke instantly felt relieved. “I’m going to take a bath first…” he then said before he left her.
She went back to the bedroom to grabbed her phone. As she turned it on, there are thirty missed calls from Elliot. s**t, he must be worried about her since she went missing with Jackson last night. Brooke took a deep breath before she called Elliot back.
“Hello…” She said after he picked up. “Brooke! Where the hell are you?” his voice roared from the other side, she have to bring the phone back from her ear. “I’m sorry, Elliot…I got drunk. You don’t have to worry. I’ll come back home as soon as I can.” She said.
Elliot says something to her, but she wasn’t paying any attention the moment she saw Jackson walked out of the bathroom. He wears nothing but a towel, covering only half down part of his body. “Brooke, are you still there?” Elliot’s voice snapped her back.
“Um…yes, I have to go…talk to you later,” Brooke said and ended the call. “Is that your ex?” Jackson said as he dried his hair with another towel. “My husband…” she corrected. “Why didn’t you tell Elliot that I was here? He’s dead worried about me.” She snapped at him.
He let out an amused laugh, “Last time I check, you were my wife.” he said, standing in front of her. “Only on paper.” She added. He looked sexy with his wet messy hair. Get a grip, Brooke!
He shrugged his shoulder and put on a T-shirt. “Whatever…” he replied. She huffed at him, and then her phone suddenly rang again. It was from Mr. Darcy! Such perfect timing.
Brooke cleared her throat before she answered his call. “Good morning, Mr. Darcy…” She said with a wide smile as if he could saw her from the other side. “Brooke, have you considered my offer? I’ve been waiting for you long enough…” he said with his usual flat tone. She could picture his expression while he was saying that.
“Yes! Actually, I was about to call you…” she replied, and Jackson stood in front of her. Already looking handsome, even in his casual outfit. He frowned until she finished talking.
“Okay, meet you at two…Yes…usual place,” Brooke said and put her phone down. Jackson crossed his arms in front of his chest.
“Who’s that?” He asked. “My source of money…my savior…Jackson, you have to come with me.” She said. “Aren’t you a little bit exaggerating?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "Come to think of it, you can lend me the money….” Brooke said.
Why she never thought about this idea before? She had no idea that Jackson was this rich. Her small apartment was only as big as his bedroom.
She hit his chest, “Since when you become this rich? We don’t have to get married and complicate things.” she asked in an annoyed tone.
He grabbed her both hands, “Because I want to….” She felt her heart skipped by a beat. What did he say? He wants to marry her? “What’s that supposed to mean?” She asked him back. “I want to make him pay…I want to make Elliot suffer for cheating on you.” He said. Oh! so it was nothing more than an act of revenge for him.
His grey eyes were looking straight at her, and she went speechless. “So where do we meet this guy?” he asked her again, waiting for her answer.
****************
They got there just in time to meet Mr. Darcy. She knows that he dislikes people who can’t appreciate his ‘precious’ time.
Jackson opened the door for her. “I can’t do this…” Brooke said, refusing to get off the car. She suddenly got a panic attack. “Brooke, we already went this far…it’s too late to go back now,” Jackson said.
Brooke let out a deep sigh. He was right. It was too late now, she might as well proceed with the plan.
They both went towards the café. Before they got in, Jackson suddenly grabbed her hand and intertwined their fingers together. Brooke throws a glare at him. “What? We are a married couple. We need to be convincing…aren’t we?” he said with a smirk.
She finally let him held her hand and went into the café with him. “Mr. Darcy!” Brooke said happily as she saw him at the middle table.
Jackson suddenly held her hand back. “Hey, what’s wrong?” Brooke asked him confusedly. He can’t be chicken out right now.
He stared at Mr. Darcy with a shocked expression. Mr. Darcy also got up from his chair after seeing Jackson. Did they know each other? Brooke’s eyes went from Mr. Darcy to Jackson. “Uncle Darcy?...” Jackson said in a low tone.
Brooke looked back at Jackson in disbelief. s**t! What has she gotten herself into this time?
