Chapter 3

Fun and events.

Maya went to class that Morning, she had a test the previous week.

On getting to the notice board, she saw that the result had been pasted, she did so well and came top in her class.

After class that day, in excitement she ran to Belinda. She broke the news to her. Belinda was so happy for her.

Livewell became more interested in Maya.

He loves beautiful women with brains.

Livewell offered to buy Maya dinner, but she refused due to her previous experience with him.

Livewell apologized to her, “ I have forgiven you, Livewell, but we can’t be friends anymore “ she said.

Maya walked away.

Belinda and Livewell continued talking.

Belinda told Livewell to forget about Maya and that she will come around with time.

In Belinda’s heart she wished Livewell was pursuing her.

Livewell told Richard what happened between him and Maya, Richard promised him that Maya would settled the issue very soon and they went to their hostel.

Maya bumped into Richard while walking on the hallway the next Morning, Richard apologized on Livewell’s behalf, and Maya agreed to forgive Livewell.

Livewell called Maya later that Evening, she answered the phone and went to see Livewell outside at the porters’ lodge.

The spoke for a while, settled their differences and later went to bed that night.

Chadwick was enjoying his military school.

He goes through lots of training everyday.

Chadwick’s best friend is Anthony Grey.

Anthony is a very talk, dark skinned and cute guy.

Girls loves him so much and he seems to enjoy the attention he gets.

He is also in the military. Chadwick loves him so much.

Anthony is very smart, intelligent and kind.

Chadwick’s phone rang.

It was his mother calling.

His mother is a merchant and a very big one at that.

His mother’s name is Mary.

“ Chadwick, I miss you so much,

“ You don’t even call me at all” his mother said.

“ Mom I miss you too”

“I have just been busy with training and tasks”.

“ mom guess what!”

“ What” Mary said.

“ My team and I will be going to Japan for a six month training “.

“ Really! But please be safe” his mum said.

Chadwick is Mary’s favorite child. She loves him so much because he is a good man.

She loves her children, but she knows Livewell is kind of aggressive and erratic in nature.

The call ended.

Everyday Chadwick tried to imagine what Amaya would look like now. “ She will be so beautiful and tall” he said with a smile on his face.

Exam was fast approaching and all the students are preparing vigorously.

For Maya, if she doesn’t clear all her papers, she will be moved to another department which otherwise means that her dreams will be shattered.

Maya shut down on all extracurricular activities and focused solely on her studies.

She doesn’t pick Livewell’s calls anymore.

She only replies to text messages when she is less busy.

Belinda buys her food most times and takes it to her room.

The trio, that is, Richard g, Belinda and Maya understands what was at stake for Maya.

“Medicine is no joke “ Maya said.

They laughed and went their ways.

Maya’s phone Rang, it was her father calling her.

“ Hello Maya” he said

“ Hi daddy” she said

“ How are you doing and hope all is well with you?”

He asked.

“ I’m fine, daddy. I’m only preparing for my exams “ she said.

“ I wish you success” he said.

“ thank you, daddy” she said.

Bye!!!

The call ended.

Maya studies from Morning till Evening so as to pass in flying colors and guess what, she did great in her exams.

It was time to go home.

Livewell asked Maya to go on a date with him, Maya agreed , they had fun together on the date, went to the movies, licked ice cream and horse riding.

They went to the hostel.

Belinda was waiting for Maya.

When she saw her coming with Livewell, she became furious.

“ Where have you been?”

“ why were you not taking your calls?”

“ Probably I’m jobless that was why I came looking for you” she said.

Maya was shocked to see Belinda act that way.

Maya had not seen that side of Belinda.

She quickly apologized.

“ I’m sorry, Belinda”.

“ I was carried away “.

Livewell greeted her and walked away.

“ I just hope you don’t plan on dating him” Belinda said.

“ Far from that, we are just friends “Maya said.

They both went to Maya’s room to watch movies together with Maya’s roommate, Cynthia.

Cynthia told Maya she wasn’t sure if Belinda was really on Maya’s side.

“ I think Belinda is jealous of you over something” Cynthia said.

“ Don’t speak of my friend that way” Maya said.

Cynthia exclaimed “ okay!”.

Time to travel back home.

The trio boarded the train and went back home for summer.

Livewell also went home.

The trio arrived at the village and they were welcomed by the villagers.

Maya ran to hug her father.

“ You look so thin my girl “ he said.

She smiled at him sheepishly.

Her father carried her luggage, they went inside and had lunch together.

“ It tastes so good”

“I have really missed your food” Maya said.

Chadwick and his team are going to Japan for training this weekend. They are six in number. Five guys and a lady.

The lady’s babe is Chole Banner.

She is charming, elegant and effortlessly beautiful.

She is secretly in love with Chadwick.

Chadwick cares for her a lot, but it seems she mistook his feelings.

The helicopter arrived and it was time to go, they left for Japan.

They boarded the helicopter and left.

Chadwick’s father called him immediately he got to Japan and he told his father about the beautiful places he saw and his father acknowledged them by telling him stories of his time in Japan too.

His father was so happy to hear from him.

I Chadwick and his team went to eat.

It was dawn already.

A lot of Japanese soldiers lined up.

Chadwick and his crew were given identification cards and a car key for mobility.

The team went out for a stroll in order to get familiar with their environment.

Chloe Banner couldn’t get her eyes off Chadwick, “ I love him so much” she said in her mind.

As they drove around the city, they were laughing and having fun.

It was time to go back to their station. They turned back and went to their camp.

They ate dinner and slept that night.

Maya was up that Morning, she did some chores and later went out to play with Belinda and Richard.

Holiday is almost over and school is resuming soon.

The trio are preparing to go back to school.

Livewell on the other hand was clubbing and partying while also getting ready to resume school.

Livewell’s holiday was fun, he made new friends and spent the majority of his time in the club.

Time to go back to school.

Maya’s father woke her up that morning, she had packed her bags ready. She took her bath, ate breakfast and left for the train station in order to catch up with Richard and Belinda.

They hugged one another, Maya bade her father farewell as they boarded the train.

She misses her father so much.

She kept on looking at him till his appearance faded away.

Maya and her friends are year two students. How time flies.

Grrrrtttttttttgggggrrrrrrh!

The train stopped.

They alighted from it and took a cab to the university hostel.

Livewell had resumed, he ran to hug them.

He carried Maya’s bag.

“ Mtcheeew “ Belinda sucked her teeth as she hisses.

Livewell was so excited to see Maya and his friends again.

He couldn’t stop thinking of Maya.

He loves her so much.

“ I’m going to marry you” he said to Maya.

Maya giggled and said “ there is a man in my heart”.

He was puzzled.

But he didn’t bother to ask who the person was.

Everyone went their way.

It was time for dinner. They all came together to the cafeteria and had dinner.

“ Tomorrow is going to be a busy day” Richard said.

“ Waking up early is hard” Belinda replied.

It was time to go to bed.

The bell rang.

Everyone was up.

Time for lecture.

The trio were so frazzled because they came in yesterday. The trip was long and hectic.

Maya quickly got up, took her bath and rushed to class.

She couldn’t even eat breakfast, she was late.

Professor Hendrick was in class already.

He takes physics.

Maya likes physics a lot, but she has difficulty in understanding some part of it.

She couldn’t afford to miss any lecture that it would be taught.

Professor Hendrick's favourite student is Maya. She pays keen attention in class and she asks difficult questions.

Maya does well in his course too.

Classes ended and as usual, the four friends went to the library to study.

As usual, Livewell doesn’t like to read, but he goes to the library because of Maya.

He wants to always admire her and gaze at her from a distance.

It was time for lunch.

Maya and Livewell went for lunch together.

Belinda saw them coming and signaled that they should join her at her table.

Belinda was just crushing on Livewell.

In her mind “ what does he see in Maya?”

“ I’m more beautiful than her”.

Livewell has never given Belinda the attention she wants.

But will it remain like that forever? Probably not.

Everyone went their way.

The school will be having a camp program in Gold city, Scotland.

The students were excited.

It was a time to cool off from academic activities and get to know one another.

It is a one week event.

Everyone is excited, especially Richard and Livewell.

Both are becoming extremely close and they discuss almost everything.

Livewell told Richard about his love for Maya.

Richard’s reply was stunning though.

He said “ she isn’t worth you, guy”.

Livewell was amazed, I thought you were friends.

“ I’m just kidding “ he said.

“ Suit yourself “ he added.

Livewell brushed it aside and they continued playing their video game.

Later that evening, Richard was restless because of what Livewell said.

“ Well, Maya is like a sister to me, he can have her if he wants”

“ But why am I feeling unsettled?” He asked himself.

Everyone was preparing for the camp meeting.

Maya, Belinda and their roommates went shopping.

They bought picnic mats, lots of biscuits and chocolate.

Beach wears and hats.

While Richard bought a nice camera, Livewell bought a bouquet of flowers.

“ Lover boy” Richard said.

Livewell giggled.

Livewell’s phone rang and it was Chadwick calling.

“ Hey kid bro “ He said.

“ Hi Livewell, how are you doing?” Chadwick replied.

“ I’m fine, you?” Livewell said.

Chadwick started gisting him about his trip to Japan and that he is in Japan having fun and learning new skills.

Livewell told him about Maya and how much he is in love with her.

Chadwick had forgotten Maya’s name, but never forgot her face and where they met. He had plans to go look for her when he comes back to town.

But will he make it to the town on time? Probably.

If there is no obstruction, he will definitely make it.

The call ended.
