Mason's Horror

It was the big day ,the day mason entered teenage years the day that he progressed towards becoming a man at least in the mind of a thirteen year old boy. People had started showing up around noonish or so bearing gifts and cards and food that had been prepared prior to each of their arrivals. Mason's father had been cooking smoked hamburgers and hotdogs while his mother was putting the final touches on the cake and mason was playing demon slayer with his friends on the Xbox in the living room when suddenly, there was a loud BOOM BOOM! on the front door so loud the whole house heard it even mason's father could hear it outside in the back yard. Mason answers the door and to his horror he finds a clown with a decapitated head in one hand and an axe in the other hand resting on his shoulder. Mason tells the clown the party is in the back and runs upstairs to his room and slams the door behind him he sits on the bed places his hands on his head sighs then stands up paces back and forth for a while. A little awhile later he composes himself grabs a pair of brass knuckles from his bed side table places them in his back pocket and walks back down to the party. Mason gets back down stairs his mom ask Are you ok sweet heart? With a worried look on her face he replies Ill..ill..I'll be o.oo.ok as long a.a.s that clo..clown stays the he.. hell away fr..from me! Mason goes back to playing the game with his friends after awhile his dad calls out THE FOOD IS DONE!!!!!! So everyone joined him out back for some delicious food and games. As if sensing his fear the clown decides to get as close to mason as he can while getting their food the clown looks at mason and ask him to hold this mason automatically takes what the clown hands him not realizing they were fake intestines he thought they were real so he threw them at the clown, mason turns around and tries to run away but ends up tripping and falling face first in his birthday cake. As this is happening the clown and all the kids start laughing and making fun of him calling him names. Mason slowly gets up off the ground wipes him self off looks to his now worried looking parents with an apologetic look on his face slowly turns around taking the brass knuckles from his back pocket and jumps on the clown knocking him to the ground steadily hitting him where ever he could with all his strength. Mason's mom screams at his dad to do something his dad says he can't do anything not wanting to admit he's scared of his son and yet proud of his son for finally standing up for him self against a bully so mason's mom runs inside in a panicked rush and dials 911. When the cops arrive at the house mason's dad was finally able to get his son off the clown. The paramedics rush in to evaluate the clown and rushed him to the hospital in critical condition. Meanwhile back at mason's the cops put him in handcuffs and was asking everyone at the party what caused the mason to attack the clown and where he managed to get brass knuckles. The guest told the officers that everything was going great till the clown asked mason to hold some intestines the officers looks at the intestines laying on the ground and realizes they were fake. The guest then tell the officer that mason pulled the brass knuckles out of his back pocket and that he must have had them there the whole time. The officers then question the parents about the events that happened before the attack there they learned that mason felt humiliated and betrayed, they also learned his father bought the brass knuckles for him to help him feel safer due to being bullied at school. The officers then question mason and realized that he had gotten the brass knuckles out of his bedside table when the clown first showed up because he was terrified of clowns and wanted to feel safe he told the officers that he tried to avoid the clown and hide from him but the clown was persistent and wouldn't stay away from him. When the clown asked for him to hold something so he could finish fixing his plate mason didn't think to much of it till he felt what the clown had given him he then looked at it and thought that they were real intestines and threw them at the clown he told them he tried to leave but fell face first in his birthday cake that's when all the kids and the clown started laughing at him none of them tried to help him he also told the officer that some of his bullies from school showed up at the party even though they weren't invited but he decided to let them stay hoping they would be Nicer to him. He finished by telling the officers that when he got up off the ground all he could think about doing was beating up the clown it was like he was on autopilot and couldn't do or think about anything else but getting revenge on the person who ruined his birthday he then tells the officers that it was like he was battling voices in his head some good some bad and in the end the bad voices outweighed the good voice. the officers decided to detain him and hold him for 48 hours. While being held at the juvenile center mason and his family learn that the clown will be ok but won't work as a clown ever again. They also learned that the clown agrees not to press any charges so long mason gets mental help so while in the juvenile center mason is evaluated by a professional psychiatrist and it is determined that he does indeed have multiple personality syndrome. 48 Hours later mason and his family sit in the court room waiting for the judge to hand out his ruling. 3 Hours go by while the judge listens to all the evidence and hears a testimony by the psychiatrist who evaluated mason and determined after hearing all the evidence and the testimony that mason should spend the next 5 years in a mental institution getting help for his disorder and is to be released on his 18th birthday. After the hearing is over mason was allowed to say good by to his parents before being lead out of the court room to a squad car and then driven to the mental institution.
