“Are you ok dear,” Jacob asked.
“Yes, honey, just a little lost in thought,” I answered him, just a little lost in thought.
“Come to bed, Phillis, we have had a long day, and we have another long day tomorrow,” Jacob said.
All I could do was shrug and climb into bed.
He is right.
We will have a long day tomorrow.
Felt my body relaxing and slowly drifting, and then I smelt fire and blood. I heard their screams, then I saw these vicious monsters shredding through a kingdom. “What is this,” I am frozen, I can't move. All I can’t do is watch. There are hundreds of them, I see one rip a little girl apart, and I can't take it. I break down, scream, and cry. I feel so helpless that I can not save these people.
Then everything flashes to another scene. Now I am in a forest, I start to walk around and figure out where I am. I pass a familiar tree with a carving on it, I am in Tina and Jake’s territory. “What am I doing here?” I asked myself.
I continued to walk till I got to the entrance of the forest, I started trudging through the open field. It is a 3-mile walk till I get to the outskirts of the land, then 25 miles to the kingdom, and this is going to suck. I reached the middle of the field; I heard an ear-piercing screech that made me drop to my knees. My ears felt like they were bleeding. All I could do was curl into the fetal position, hold my ears, and cry. Then I felt the ground vibrating underneath me, “What is that?” I asked myself. I soon got my answer when those mutated beasts started running out of the woods by the thousands straight into the village outskirts. “Oh no!” I can’t move. The screech has me paralyzed. All I can do is lay here and look at the destruction of the kingdom. Fireballs rain down from the sky, and the screeching starts again. I see where the sound is coming from, I have never seen dragons like this. They look so demented. They are slimy black with purple vapers omitting from their scales like poison. Their talons are dripping with a tar-like substance that burns whatever surface it drips on.
Everything flashes white again, and I am now in front of a warehouse. “Where the hell am I now?” I asked out loud to no one specific. I head to the warehouse to look around to see if I can pick up any clues as to where I am. The building is dark, I can’t sense anyone in there.
I make my way to the front of the building; the front room is pretty empty, nothing in here but a couple of pieces of old equipment. I make my way further into the warehouse. There looks to be a couple of rooms in the back.
I feel a chill run down my spine, and the hairs on my arms stand up.
“I don’t like this feeling,” I say to myself.
I step through the room divider; the chill gets worse. All my instincts are screaming for me to run. I stepped into the first room; I saw an altar in the middle of the room, and the room reeked of stale blood.
"This room was definitely used recently," I say to myself.
A very dark ritual was performed here; I can feel the dark energy floating in the air. But something about this energy feels different, darker, something more menacing about it. It makes me nauseous; I just want to puke.
I know I must tough it out; gather as much information as possible. The goddess sent me here for a reason, I just need to know why?
I walk around the room, and there is a book sitting on a podium. I can tell it is a grimoire, I have never seen anything like it. It looks to be covered in a tar- like substance. The energy the book omits alone is nothing I have felt before. It scares the s**t out of me if I am being honest. This is not normal dark magic.
I need to get the hell out of this room.
I exit the room as fast as my feet can take me.
I enter the next room; it is set up like a prison, and there are cages everywhere.
“Goddess, this room stinks,” I say to myself.
It smells like urine and blood; I can tell they were recently used.
I can feel there is nothing more I need to see in this room. I make my way to the last room “What the hell!” I say to myself.
There is a giant hole in the middle of the floor, I see a ladder that leads down the hole.
“You can do this Phillis;” I have to amp myself up because of that crawling feeling, and the cold shiver is back. My instincts are screaming hell no.
I took the ladder down; it was a long way down.
I am in some sort of underground tunnel system; I grab a lantern I see hanging on the wall and make my way through.
The further I went into the tunnel, the more I noticed it changing.
The walls and floors are now stone, covered in some sort of text.
“What type of text is this?” I whisper to myself.
I continued my journey till I reached another room.
“Is this a shrine?” I asked myself.
There is a giant statue in the middle of the room; I walk further into the room and notice the tombs.
“Nope, not a shrine but a tomb,” I say to myself.
“MMMMM, you smell delicious,” I hear; I look around the room. I can't tell where that voice is coming from. It sounds like it is coming from all directions, “Who there?” I say freaking out.
No one has ever been able to sense me during a premonition before.
The voice just laughed; “I can taste your fear,” it says to me.
The atmosphere of the room changed, it got colder, so cold I could see my breath. Then I feel a presence behind me; I quickly turn, and nothing is there.
“You do smell delicious; I wonder if you taste just as delicious as you smell?” a deep voice says in my ear.
My body goes stuffed with fear, I feel something caress down my arm, but it leaves an intense burning feeling behind. I scream it feels like my arm is on fire. I hear the wicked laugh again, “Oh, I am going to have so much fun with you,” the deep voice says, laughing.
I scream, and everything flashes a blinding white light, and then everything goes dark.
