They left behind the cave in haste. Rosamund felt bittersweet feelings as she looked back towards the cave that was well hidden in the woods. Clusters of pine trees and dense wood completely isolated the cave from the rest of the world. She, herself, wasn’t really sure how they made their way from the forest to the clearing. Although it was like a total maze, Rosamund knew why Aleksander chose this cave in particular. It was the perfect burrow, the perfect place to spend an ideal time, away from the cruelty and the difficulties of the palace. It must have taken them so much time to find such a place and she felt privileged by the fact that Ruslan and Aleksander let her into their secret hideout. A bit of jealousy stirred in her heart when she realized Marcus also knew about this place.
