The way back was easier than Ruslan had thought. It was smoother than what he had thought. A bit too smooth, he thought, as he looked around through Aleksander’s eyes. From the corner of their eyes, Ruslan saw that the demon that was following them just moments ago was absent. That made both of them stop abruptly in the middle of the woods. Aleksander put his snot up, trying to smell the burning smell of the demon, but he was unable to pick any up. Suddenly, a sound of wood snapping made Aleksander turn his head to one side.
