"I'm leaving the Zenith Dimension."
Devingel's words were tantamount to a nuclear bomb suddenly dropping to Earth causing a bout of explosions. Ruslan and Claude were both surprised with her statement, shocked at the word she said.
"You're leaving? Why? When? Where are you going?" Claude nervously inquired, looking at Devingel in hopes that she would take back her statement and tell the two lovers that she was only joking. However, the two also knew that Devingel never joke around, especially since she normally is devoid of emotion.
"Calm down your lover, Rus. I'll explain." Devingel said as she stared coldly at Ruslan with narrowed eyes as if she would stop speaking if Claude did not stop his nervous inquiry. She did not care whether the two of them are anxious for answers, as much as she hates delaying, but she also hated it when someone is rushing her as she had intended to explain from the start. She could understand that Claude's reaction was only a matter of course, however she still find it annoying.
"You heard her, Claude." Ruslan said as he squeezed Claude's hand. Claude calm down and muttered an apology before staying silent. Ever since he became acquianted with Ruslan thirty years ago (or so he thought, because Claude's memory is still sealed), he also knew about Devingel and Ruslan's friendship. Over the course of thirty years, he already met Devingel multiple times and through Ruslan (with Devingel's permission), he finally understood Devingel's situation, having the honor of knowing her real name and identity. Claude had known that Devingel is always like this, although she is mostly emotionless but she is always easy to be dissatisfied.
"For Claude's first question; yes, I'm leaving. Why? Because I still have insufficient powers to obtain my greatest desire. To establish that law. And so, I have to travel to the lowest-level dimension, the Nadir Dimension, and start anew. Starting from the bottom, and bit by bit, slowly climbing back up and accumulating power until I'm powerful enough to defy the Heavens. I planned to leave only after I go back to the Realm of Utopia. It was one of Mother's condition, to see her one last time before leaving. My purpose of visiting Father this time is also because of this matter. I wanted to let the both of you, as well as Father, to know of my intentions and plans. I am merely letting you know, and letting Father know. It does not matter whether you or Father would be dissatisfied with my decision. My heart is set." Devingel explained in the simplest way she can, her intentions of doing this.
As Devingel's most trusted friends, Ruslan and Claude certainly knew what her heart truly desired. It was not really power, but she needed power in order to obtain it. That's why she willingly give up all her emotions and freedom of choice, to obtain the power that she needed. Travelling from the highest-level dimension to the lowest-level dimension would eventually cause the Nadir Dimension to become unstable, and the two were aware that in order for that not to happen, it was Devingel who has to suffer.
"Then Claude and I wish for you to comeback here in the Zenith Dimension, with a satisfied heart." Ruslan said, standing up from the sofa and proceeded to kneel on one knee in front of Devingel. Claude stand up as well, kneeling on one knee. Both of the lovers continued their gesture of subservient; right hand opened, fingers closed to each other, placing it on their chest near their heart, the left hand closed, resting on their backs as they slightly bowed towards Devingel.
"My deepest gratitude, you two may rise."
...
The four short hours passed by in the blink of an eye. Devingel spent those four hours helping the church, travelling around the Human Continent in the Mortal Realm, helping humans and overseeing personally whatever troubles the humans are experiencing. Ruslan as usual, would always be in the church to help the humans that were coming in the church for help, while Claude would be a part-time helper to Devingel, and a part-time janitor of the church.
For Devingel, those four hours are only equivalent to several days worth of time in the Realm of Utopia. Reaching the end of her visit, Claude and Ruslan personally accompanied her to the underground pathway of the church, leading to the two portals of Realm of Dystopia.
When they reached the passage, the three of them stopped as Devingel changed into her demonic form. Two pointy horns appeared on her head and her originally golden eyes became as crimson as blood. Changing her outfit into the original off-shoulder dress, the dress has now became a backless dress with the sleeves hanging just right on Devingel's shoulder bone. Her thin red coat also transformed back to the red waist belt. Her bone wings spread out on her back, looking just like her still tied purple hair, smooth to touch. The bone wings have pointed edges that seemed to pierce through with the slightest touch, although it was called bone wings, but the enchanting purple wings are made of flesh.
Folding her wings to settle on her back, she turned towards Claude and Ruslan who were at the side quietly watching her transform. She nodded on the both of them as a form of goodbye and said, “when I come back, I will try to spend a few more hours with the two of you as a farewell party." Devingel said as she activated the portal that will transport her to the Realm of Dystopia.
...
"Your Excellency, the entrance portal was activated and a faint red hue was released. Her Highness the Soul Demoness is the one entering." Riuka reported to Demon King Evizio who was sitting on the throne as she kneel on one knee. Hearing that Devingel visited, Demon King Evizio could not help but immediately disappeared from the throne, reappearing in the Gates to Oblivion, where Devingel currently is.
He has not seen Devingel for seven years. Even though it was only a short time but it was enough for Devingel to grow up considerably. When Demon King Evizio finally laid his eyes on Devingel, he abadoned all the imposing aura of a Demon King and rushed to hug his precious daughter. At that moment, he was only Devingel's father.
Devingel's gaze soften and a slight, unnoticeable smile spread through her thin lips. Savoring her father's tight embrace, she raised her arms to pat her father's back.
"Father, daughter has visited." Devingel's voice was muffled because she was enclosed in her fathers arms. Although Devingel is tall, standing at a height of 185 centimeters, but Demon King Evizio not only have a large build, he is two meters and fifteen centimeters tall as well.
Demon King Evizio finally let go of Devingel and he started to appraise his daughter. She looks more and more beautiful as the time passes by. Her eyes resembled Demon King Evizio’s while her face and thin lips had a trace of her mother's. Thinking of Holysia, Evizio's heart ached more and his longing grew. He forcibly stopped himself from thinking about his beloved, and he focused on Devingel again.
“I'm happy to see you, dearest." Demon King Evizio answered. With a wave of his hand, the father and daughter disappeared in the Gate of Oblivion, reappearing in the Castle of Oblivion, right in front of Demon King Evizio's throne. When the two appeared, all the Noir and Superior demons in the hall simultaneously kneel: “We welcome the Demon Princess, Soul Demoness in the Realm of Dystopia. May the Princess’ visit bring a new peace, prosperity, and protection to the whole Realm of Dystopia."
"All of you may rise." It was Devingel who spoke. Her red eyes flashed and a faint crimson wave of energy engulfed the all of the demons in the Realm of Dystopia. Three or four demons in the hall suddenly screamed and clutched their chest in pain, above their heads appear a black orb surrounded by a malevolent crimson aura.
Devingel unhurriedly went to the four demons, and the demons who were in front of the four other demons stepped out of the way to create a path for Devingel. When Devingel arrived at the four suffering demons, her right eye flashed with a faint golden light and she spoked with a chilling tone: “Three Inferior Demons and One Superior Demon, dissatisfied with their current position and the power they hold, they planned to forsake their race in order to gain more power and be promoted to a higher position. Plotting to have their fellow demons act as the bait, they planned to m******e Celestials that would be trapped in their ploy, and if any of their fellow demons who acted as baits survived, they planned to kill them to silence them. Afterwards, report their “achievement” to a lower ranking Noir Demon to be promoted and bestowed a spell book to upgrade their power.”
After Devingel spoke, she laughed coldly without emotions on her face neither her tone. She is clearly sneering at these four foolish demons who developed Heart’s Motive!
“Greed, Dishonesty, Betrayal; out of these three, two of them are the things I hate the most.” After this sentence, Devingel's eyes flashed again and the black orbs that was floating above the four demons’ head was replaced by a purplish-black crystal orb; the soul of demons. Devingel narrowed her eyes and the crystal orb exploded into nothingness, erasing the four demons’ existence in the process.
After purging the demons that developed the Heart's Motive, Devingel teleported on the array flatform where Demon King Evizio was waiting. Holding Devingel's right hand, his right hand on Devingel's waist, Demon King Evizio smiled.
"Now daughter, help father protect the Realm of Dystopia. Let us dance."
