In two days it will be my 18th birthday and my parents thought it was a great idea for us to celebrate my birthday at the Annual Lycan King and Queen ball. At first I wanted a birthday party, but then I thought it's the King and Queen ball, the party of the year! My mom said this was the perfect opportunity for me to find my mate, since there would be other Lycans and Werewolves attending. Oh, by the way, my name is Shayera and I am the daughter of Beta Charles and Astrid. My father is a Lycan and my mother is a Wolf. However, my mother is the daughter of one of the strongest Alphas and packs ever, the Blue River Pack! It’s not rare for Lycans and Wolves to become mates. But usually, when Lycans mate with Wolves, they become Lycans. That did not happen to my mother. The elders said that because of this I am expected to do great things! I honestly don’t understand what that has to do with me in the future but whatever I’m just here to go with the flow, but whatever.But I guess we will see what happens on my 18th birthday! Anyways, I am totally freaking out because this will be the first time I am able to attend the ball. As we entered the Alphas study, Alpha Cyrus and my father, seemed to be having an intense conversation as we got to the door. "We are discussing the possibility of all of our children finding their mates, especially my son, so I can retire and get some grandchildren" says Alpha Cyrus as stares into our Lunas eyes with a bright smile. Lucien shoves Esme and I out the way so he is in front of his parents and says " Father I am hoping I find my mate as well I am ready to take over the pack and continue your legacy" he beams! "Now I just wanted to go over some things with you ladies since this is your first ball. Their will be wolfs and lycans from all around the North and South, you will be meeting all sorts of people. Because I am apart of the Beta family I live on the Beta floor. I pulled out my gown one more time then packed in my garment bag. I can’t wait to where it! I really hope as soon as I turn 18 I find my mate! I hoped in to bed so I can finally drift off to sleep excited about the next few days!
