I had cooked up a lot of lies, and I've told them enough. I did not want to say anything else that was going to contradict all of the other things I've said. At that moment I knew that one thing that was very important was that I needed to be careful with my words so I did not say something that would give me up.
The goal was to get her out of Rome, and the earlier I did that, the better it was going to be for us all. She just could not know the reason we were leaving for Los Angeles, and if she found out, it was going to be another issue altogether.
