She definitely didn't just say Mr AC cooler is her boyfriend.
"At least he used to be." She added in a carefree manner.
"If you really don't care, why are you all shaken up by that Joy?" Debra teased.
"I just can't believe a person like her could date someone like him. Past or present." I replied getting back into the couch.
"Wait, you don't think I'm good enough. I'll have you know-"
"Not that." I replied cutting her off.
"I meant how could you ever date such a tweet?
He's like really annoying, and self centered." I explained.
Not like she wasn't as well. But what are the chances of two obnoxious beings ending up together. Fifty Fifty?
"Oh, that.
Well, then all I could see was his charms." Juli said in a dreamy manner.
"They are over, right?" I asked Debbie confusingly.
"For over a year now, pretty much." She replied.
"He broke up with her though." She added stylishly.
"I'll have you know it was my initial plan to, but he beat me to it." Julia said defensively.
"Or maybe cause you were too lost in his ocean of lies to swim out. Else it wouldn't have taken you a millennial to recover." Debra mocked.
Wow! She's even mean to friends as well. I feel like it's just her nature.
"Hey! Not cool." Julia grumbled.
"Don't forget it cost you a few bucks and so much cleaning service to get me out of that state. If you don't want a do over you better stop talking." She added warningly.
"Sorry." Debra said, getting back to her phone.
"By the way Joyce, you should stay away from that guy. As far away as you can get." Julia advices.
"Trust me sister. That isn't gonna be a problem." I replied.
"You sure? Allen can be a little persuasive." She added.
"And I can be pretty conclusive as well. And I conclude that the guy is a nut job and a me and him can never be a thing." I replied.
Even saying it out loud using the word him and me with "a thing" makes me wanna throw.
I gotta leave this conversation.
"You know what?" I said getting up.
"What?" Julia asked confusingly.
"I just remembered I have this assignment to deal with." I concluded leaving quickly for my room.
"Okay.
Make sure you don't pick any calls or texts from AC!" She yelled.
Heck no she didn't just make that a thing.
"Sure." I replied slamming my door behind me.
Save haven.
Now, let's force that sleep through.
I slammed myself into my bed, and closed my eyes. Till I couldn't hear even the slightest sound any longer.

Next Day
After such a refreshing night sleep, I was ready for whatever today had install for me.
I went for classes. Didn't have too many of it today though, or perhaps it felt little since I was super active today.
Few hours later and I was back at the apartment. I met my sis and Julia again.
We had the usual complimentaries. With me imitating Debra greeting me, and also me responding.
Then I went in to take a shower, and returned later to find something edible to quench my hunger.
I met Julia begging Debbie for something.
I wonder what this is about.
"Please Debbie. Going to the beach alone is like making a movie with one person." Julia pleaded.
"No can't do love." Debbie replied.
"What's going on?" I asked grabbing a sit next to them.
"I'm begging your sis here to tag along with me to the beach. But she's been refusing." Julia replied taking her sit back.
"I'm so done." She concluded tiredly.
"Sorry." I replied, digging into my little lunch of bread and chocolate peanut butter.
"Wait a minute." She suddenly added with a smile at me.
"You can go with me." She suggested.
"I don't know." I replied in an uncertain manner.
"Come on. Please.
Don't be a kill Joy like your sis." She added playfully.
"Even if you call me the worst of names, I still wouldn't change my mind." Debbie commented in a carefree manner.
"Why don't you ask one of those friends of yours i met at the club the other night to come with you?" I added confusingly, taking the last bite from my lunch.
"Well, they all have stuffs going on." She replied.
"Excluding your sister ofcourse." She concluded passing her a glare.
"What, me-" she dragged sarcastically wearing a playful smile. "Can't you see how busy I am not following you?" She added getting up to stretch.
"Did any of those chocolate peanut butter toast of yours remain?" She added after yarning loudly.
"No. But there's a couple buttered bread on the plate, so you can toast them." I replied.
"Great." She dragged again, yarning. Then she dumped her phone on the couch then headed to the kitchen.
"Please love." Julia pleaded again.
"Be a human being." She added weirdly.
"Well, I'm already a human being. But as someone with conscience not wanting you to end up alone after all the trouble you've gone through begging." I explained.
"Uh huh." She urged impatiently.
"I've decided to go with you." I concluded, and she smuggled the living air out of me, while chanting, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
I just hope we wouldn't just be sitting under some umbrella and staring. I get bored easily.
"Wow, I'm so happy for you sis.
Good luck at the beach." Debbie praised smilingly, coming back out with a plate of toast. I wasn't sure what that was about.
"Ignore her. Now, go get ready." Julia added stylishly wearing a friendly smile.
"I think I'm good with what I'm putting on at the moment." I replied.
"But-" She tried to argue.
"Young lady, this boat can still sail." I warned.
"Fine. Let's go.
Even though you look like you're wearing a PJ. It's cool." She grumbled heading out, and I followed closely behind.
How does this outfit resemble a PJ? I'm like wearing a purple combo on white sneakers, and a wine blouse.
Who doesn't like a fancy native African style pant pullover. Not to mention it's purple. I had my usual two braids done with my hair which were dangling on the partially cropped tops I had on, an expensive transparent purple crop jacket, with that wine partially cropped wine blouse.
Let's not forget the expensive white sneakers. Whose crazy enough to wear such a thing to bed?
.
.
"She has no idea what she's gotten herself into." Debra commented smilingly.
"Isn't she supposed to be your sister? You should've saved her." Sophie commented dramatically from over the phone, where apparently Debbie had been making a video call with them.
"Well, I hear the best way to truly learn things is through a practical approach." Debbie replies deviously.
"Yah, she'd definitely learn to say no after today." Stella commented pitifully.
“You bet." Debbie agrees.
