Chapter Eight

Alex Pov

Three years, it's been three years since I last saw her and now she was in front of me it all my willpower not to pull her into my arms and hug her but i couldn't even if i wanted to because i promised myself to keep her safe no matter what. I could see how disappointed and sad she was because of how cold i was acting towards her and because it broke my heart i left immediately the meeting ended so i wouldn't see her disappointed eyes.

I went home as soon as the meeting ended and went to brief my dad on what went on at the meeting. I guess i was distracted because after dinner my dad called me into his office and my mum, Tiana and my Beta Eric were also in the office with my dad

What's wrong Alex? my dad asked

Nothing

Nothing? You've been acting weird since you got back from that meeting

Nothing? I didn't talk to her
