Alpha King's Only child

chapter 3

***RAYNA POV***

As Molly, Pete and I get ready we have my father and mother come in. My mom looks like she might start crying and my dad is beaming with pride. We all stop what we are doing.

"Alpha king, Luna Queen, Is everything alright?" Molly asked. Worry written over her face. As she asked the beta and gamma walk behind my parents.

"Are you guys okay?" Pete asks.

"Dad why is mom crying?" I asked worried. I don't know what's going on but if someone offended my mom ill kill them.

My father breaks the silence after what felt like hours but was only seconds. He smiles a bit and starts to tear up. He comes closer and grabs my hand.

"My dearest daughter, I know that you hope to find a mate today and I hope you do as well even though it pains me to think about it. We are all very proud of what you three have accomplished. You children have come so far and we know you three will do great things together. With that being said we would like you three to officially take your rightful places as Alpha, Beta and Gamma of this pack. We have been waiting for all of you to turn 18. We know you three are ready even with you being so young in age. We couldn't be prouder of the hard work and love you three have put into becoming the best warriors and learning about our history and you future jobs." My father finishes. An flashes a proud smile to us.

Pete, Molly and I are left speechless. We don't have words. We have been waiting for this day our whole lives. Literally we trained day after day pushing our selfs to the limit. There were days we would get taken to the hospital after training. We trained with silver in our system to make sure we could fight threw it. We did it for a month and a half and it payed off. We tried wolfsbane but we got really sick from a very small amount and my father got extremely angry with us. As im deep in thought my mother starts talking.

"As you know this will not be today or tomorrow. But we hope you three can take over within the month. With that being said we have gifts" She said and started to tear up even more. She continues.

"To our Daughter and only child we give you the crown jewels. These have been passed down King after King. They were presents from the moon goddess to our Kingdom"

They are beautiful a gold necklace with what looks to be a picture of the full moon, Then the goddess ring it's a blue ring that only shines when the full moon is up its also said that it will shine when the chosen Alpha takes their place. Then the crown of the Alpha king given to the next in line when they become crowned. After my mom stops talking and hands me the jewels Jason steps up and so does Pete.

"Son I can't tell you how proud I am of you. You have excided our expectations and you have managed to become one with out future Alpha king during combat. We couldn't have asked for better we have been blessed with the three of you. Today I will give you the twin Silver Swords."

Pete's eyes widen when he sees the twin Silver Swords. They have wolfs drawn on them and are very beautiful with details of the wolfs praising the moon goddess that's descending from the moon. The case and the handle isn't made out of silver it's made out of gold and on the handle it reads. "To Protect Our Kingdom Is An Honor. R.R."

"R.R. THOSE ARE THE INITIALS OF OUR FIRST BETA!!!" I yell in excitement!

Pete and his dad chuckle. "Yes Beta Reynolds's Reed's The brother of our First king" His dad answers.

As Pete and I drool over the swords. Jerry comes before all three of us and we pay attention to him.

"Dearest Daughter, I am so very proud of you and I know your mother would be also. As you know she had decided to take her title as Gamma and we lost her. But I know she wanted nothing more than for you to follow her footsteps. Today I present you with the ring of the moon. This has been passed down since the first Gamma of our kingdom and your mother would be so proud of you to have it. Sha had it enchanted with healing powers so the ring could watch over you when she wasn't there. I am so happy that she will be protecting you when danger comes." Jerry finishes and his almost in tears but again so are all of us. I stand before everyone and start to speak.

"If I may, I can't tell any of you how honored we feel that you believe in us so much. Im grateful to know that you believe we are ready to take this on. It means that all the pain and torture we have put ourselves through in order to not be weak and be ready for everything and anything has paid off. I thank you for believing in our bond as the future leaders of this pack." I say to all 4 of them and now everyone is balling.

"We should go" My father says threw sniffles.

As they walk out Molly, Pete and I turn to each other and start happy dancing. We can't believe the day has come for me to be crowned and my friends to be my second and third in command. It's gonna be a wonderful day. As we dance I look at the clock it's 2pm. s**t dinner starts at 5pm and we aren't ready. I call the hair dressers and make up artist and we start getting ready.

At 4pm we start getting dressed our hair is done and so is our make up. Molly is wearing a Black dress that has thin straps and is tight to her breast but looses after to a kinda princess look. It looks beautiful against her olive skin and blonde hair, it also bring out her blue eyes. Pete is wearing a Black tux and a red tye Gotta say he looks good. His muscles seem to fill out the suite just fine and his dark brown hair is combed back. His suit bring attention to his honey colored eyes. Now that I think about it the dress I picked makes my eyes look more red and yellow. All three of us have very weird eye colors like i said before mine have a mix of red and yellow and its very noticeable. Pete's look like honey you know when you put it up to the sun. Molly's are a blue that almost no one can describe because they are almost gray its like and strom meets ocean but very light.

After we all get ready we head down. When we get to the second floor I smell chocolate and caramel. I look at the hall but I don't see anything. Maybe Miss Judy is making some snacks.

I see Miss Judy and she looks like she might cry.

"oh you three look great!" judy says with all smiles we thanks her for her kindness.

"Miss Judy are you making chocolate caramel cookies?" I ask still curious on why i smelled that.

"Ohh No honey, DID YOU WANT SOME?? I can make some really quick" She asks with a smile but confused.

"oh no I thought I had smelled them baking its probably nothing thanks though. Ill see you in a bit at the ceremony if im late I might get killed by my mom." I say

"BYE JUDY" Pete and Molly join me in saying.

***Unknown POV***

"Alpha its 4:30pm you're going to be late again" Dylan says. I swear if I didn't grow up with him I would had punched him.

"Alright lets go" As im leaving my room and about to walk down I hear footsteps but realize I forgot my phone so I head back to our room.

"look there's people rushing there already" Dylan says pretty irritated.

"Alright lets go" as im walking down I smell Roses and Pine.

"Dylan do you smell that it's like roses and pine" Dylan looks at me confused

As he drags me down we hear a girl and her friends saying bye. I stopped at the kitchen and asked the nice lady if I could have a water bottle she happily gives it to me and I thank her and we head to the festival hall.

The place is beautiful it has red and black decorations. the tables are black with roses in red vases."maybe that was the smell". I see that there's a big table with my packs name on it. So me and my beta go to sit down. On the way we great multiple Alphas that I know and get along with well. I don't see the King's family though so they might be coming out later. I am curious of what his daughter looks like.

****RAYNAS POV****

Everything looks fantastic there's a stage set up and next to it to the left is my family's table in front of us is a humongous free space for dancing about 400 to 500 feet away in front of our table is another table after the dance floor square ends there's round tables 30 feet away from each other. there's a lot of tables and a lot of people.

After 10 minutes my father steps to the stage. He starts by thanking other packs on coming from so far away and goes on to announce that him and his leaders will step down within a months time. You can hear the people gasp and some are confused but most seem excited especially the ones in our pack. He explains how all three of us have been training very hard to make sure we aren't weak and how they believe we are ready. I see Alpha Jack, George and Tomas smiling cause they know im ready. After all they did help train me and made sure i could beat anyone in a fight. As im thinking about the fun times I shared learning with them I hear my father call for me.

"I present you all your future Alpha Queen. My Daughter Rayna Marie Alvaro Reed's" I stand up and I hear claps and cheers. It feels great being loved by so many.

"Many of you have yet to meet me so before the partying starts I would like to invite anyone with doubts about me to come and meet me at my table and I will be delighted to answer any questions." I say with confidence.

As i go to sit down all the Alphas that I have yet to meet come to our table to ask questions. How do i plan to run a kingdom. Will i find a mate in time after a bunch of repeated questions I start to get bored and finally the questions end.

My father stands "Once again take you all for being here please enjoy the party and food" as my father says this the caterers start bringing food out. "F**king finally" I say starving.

After Dinner Pete, Molly, Jonathan and I decided to go to the dance floor. Pete looks at me in excitement. "WERE NOT MATES!!" I forgot about that oh thanks you moon goddess. We both smile at each other happy. We have now been dancing for an hour and my mother comes to get me so we can sing happy birthday and cut the cake. When the cake rolls out infront of me its beautiful it has Purple fondant and black wolfs and on the top is the eclipse and it looks like the wolfs are howling. I stand infront of the cake facing it while i face everyone else. Pete is to my left so is my father, and Jason. Molly is to my right with Jonathan and my mom. Today is the best day. After we sing happy birthday cut the cake and dance for a bit more its time for the eclipse we all go out side and shift and everyone decides to go run. My black wolf stands tall to Pete's Brown wolf and Molly's Grey Wolf. My father is my height with the same color and My mother is a black and grey wolf. After our run we go back into the festival hall.

"Today has been a very special day for me and my child. She has been looking for a mate so I ask that if you have yet to greet her and have warriors or sons or yourself please come by our table and introduce yourself". My father says.

After we sit there's a whole line of men almost out the door. This is gonna take forever. We start greeting people and so far no one we go threw 100 more nothing at this point im just getting very discouraged. Because these are our strongest allies and our strongest warriors.

I notice Pete is chuckling to him self and laughing with Molly. So I mind link them.

-Are you laughing at your future Alpha Queen?-

-Ohh you know I am Ray- Pete looks at me dying.

I stand up and Pete and Molly are looking at me confused.

"Im currently not the only one here looking for a mate. (I say with a smirk on my face looking at Pete.) My future beta and Best Friend is looking for a strong woman that can fight and is intelligent and beautiful so why don't our woman warriors introduce themselves also" I smirk at him. He looks pretty annoyed.

Suddenly after I sit down I smell that sweet chocolate and caramel sent again but I don't know where its coming from. I start to look maybe I can see if someone else is looking also this could be him my mate!

Pete and Molly are looking at me confused. I tell them I think my mate is closed by but I don't see anyone else looking. I can smell him. They both get up and so does Jonathan now everyone at our table is looking around there's too many people crowded around me and i can't see s**t. f**k this is annoying I might miss my mate because we are surrounded by idiots.

After what feels like forever it gets closer. There's two guys talking to each other and They seem to be deep into conversation. It's one of them I get out of my table and walk towards them. When im standing behind him it's noticeably coming from the guy That's 6'5 and has a black suit on with jett black hair like mine. He turns around and our eyes meet. Oh my moon goddess is he handsome. His suite fits him so well it shows off how big his muscles are and how toned his body is with his broad shoulders. He looks at me with his beautiful green eyes. I think I might be in a trance. I have to introduce my self but i also have to introduce Pete and Molly because they are behind me with their mouths open.

"Hello My name is Rayna Marie Alvaro Reeds I am the future Alpha Queen. This is my beta Pete and my Gamma Molly" I say smiling hoping for him to answer me.

***Xacary POV***

As im talking to Dylan about important pack matters coming up I smell the roses and pine again. I don't pay much attention to it till it seems to be intoxicating me and I see Dylan look behind me. As I turn around I see the most beautiful girl in this world. She has long black hair and is built to perfection I think im in love. I instantly get lost in her eyes they are red and yellow kinda like when the leaves start to fall. She has a smile on her face Goddess do I want to kiss her right now. She is everything right now. She starts to looked panicked and starts to speak.

"Hello My name is Rayna Alvaro Reeds I am the future Alpha Queen. This is my beta Pete and my Gamma Molly"

Wait she said Reeds like a direct descendent of the first Alpha king. Is this woman seriously considering me as her mate. She's a descendant of the first ever wolf he was known to have powers beyond comprehension. It was said that his extra ordinary colored eyes are the reason he was able to become so strong. His brother was also strong and became his beta after that his cousin another extremely strong wolf became the gamma. ARE THEY ALL DESCENDANTS FROM THE FIRST THREE WOLFS!. As im lost in though and trying to get my head straight I hear Dylan start talking.

"Hello future Alpha Queen, My name is Dylan I am the beta of the second strongest pack he is our Alpha his name is Xacary"

As he says my name and im still lost in her eyes I feel a big slap on my back.

-Why did you do that dude- I mind link Dylan.

-Dude your mate just talked to you and you haven't said anything talk to her-

"I apologize my future Alpha Queen I seem to have gotten lost looking at your beauty. Can I just say how beautiful you are my Queen" I say while I reach for her hand to kiss it and bow a little. I see that she turned red like a tomato that's cute who would think that the future Queen would get so flustered by her mate. I let a smirk leave me.

"Uhh.. It's very nice to meet you Alpha Xacary. As my mate and as you being an Alpha I believe we have many things to discuss. If you don't mind id like to have these discussions in private" She says while giving me a flirty smile. I think I know what she really wants and I can't say I don't want the same thing.

"Id love to discuss these matters somewhere more private do you have an office my queen" I smile and she grabs my hand

"I don't currently but we can talk in my room. After this is over for now dance with me" She smiles and I follow her.

-Dylan tell the DJ to play a slow dance song- I mind link
