After several days of eating nothing but takeout, I gradually began to look haggard.
Lucian might have been gorgeous, but he was absolutely a spoiled young master.
He even made me operate the robot for him.
Late that night, I rubbed my abused stomach and, rather shamefully, found myself thinking about Adrian's cooking again...
Maybe it was because I'd been thinking about him too much.
That night, I felt as though something was wrapped around me in bed.
I assumed it was Lucian's enormous fluffy tail, so I casually hugged it back.
“Lucian... stop messing around. I'm sleepy...”
A muffled groan came from above my head.
The arms around me tightened.
The next morning.
The moment Lucian leaned toward me, he pinched his nose in disgust.
“Why do you smell like seafood again? What kind of seafood barbecue did you sneak off and eat last night?”
“Go take a shower. You stink!”
I sniffed myself left and right.
I couldn't smell anything.
“Why should I shower? You've been saying I smell weird for days! I'm about to scrub my skin off!”
I irritably ruffled my hair.
“If you don't like the smell, don't smell me!”
With that, I sprawled across the sofa.
Lucian glanced toward a certain spot.
His narrow fox eyes narrowed slightly as he gave a soft chuckle.
“Fine. You don't have to shower.”
He suddenly leaned over and pulled me into his arms, his voice carrying a hint of temptation.
“Then... I'll cover up the smell for you.”
As he spoke, he wrapped his tail around my waist.
His fluffy head rubbed against me again and again.
I froze.
—You had to understand, this fox was usually incredibly tsundere.
Unless he'd completed his full grooming routine, he normally wouldn't even let me touch him.
Had he taken the wrong medicine today?
When I didn't move, he directly placed my hand against one of his fox ears.
“Here. I'll let you have this privilege.”
Oh my god.
Who could possibly resist a fluffy creature voluntarily asking to be petted?!
My eyes lit up.
I immediately went to town on his head.
Lucian narrowed his eyes in bliss.
A soft, contented purring sound came from his throat.
But I couldn't shake the feeling that something cold was lurking behind me.
......
After that strange discomfort finally faded, I tried to negotiate with him.
“Lucian.”
“Why don't we bring Adrian back in a couple of days?”
Lucian froze.
His tail slapped against the sofa unhappily.
He muttered under his breath,
“I knew it...”
I frowned.
“What?”
He raised his voice.
“Bring him back if you want!”
His fluffy ears twitched.
“I happen to want a proper hot meal too.”
