"Why did he lie to you, bestie?" Sam asked me. We are here today at a fast food and snacking on our favorite fries and coke float. I freed Samantha because I was finally paid. It was like a bubble when the first paycheck passed through my hands with the amount of debt that Mom Rebecca and I owed.
