My Sister's Man

Deidre had been thinking about her baby sister Denise throughout her flight. They were inseparable as kids and best of friends but living in separate countries and chasing dreams separated them, they were still close but not as close as when they were younger. Deidre was looking forward to spending time with her sister, that was all she could think of on her flight from London to New York. Deidre Anderson had defiled all odds to become a successful twenty-eight year old talent manager, her parents wanted her to be a top notch lawyer just like her father but she had other plans. As the plane landed on the tarmac, she felt her heart racing, she hadn't been this excited in ages. She got off the plane and walked into the airport, after waiting for a few minutes to get all her luggage, she was ready to go home. "Deidre, Deidre honey", a woman shouted, that voice sounds so much like mum, Deidre said to herself as she turned to see who was shouting her name. "Mum, Mum she screamed", as she ran towards her mother Ingrid.I didn't know you were coming to pick me up, I was just about to get an Uber. I haven't seen you in two years, I wanted to be the first person you see, Ingrid said with her eyes tearing up. "Oh how I have missed you my darling child", I can't wait to have you and your sister together again, my family hasn't been complete in four years, she said with tears rolling down her cheeks. " I can't wait to see Denise and Dad" Deidre said as she held her mother's hand, as they strolled out of the airport to the parking lot. It was a long drive home, Ingrid kept on engaging her daughter in conversations and asking so many questions about her personal life. Ingrid knew she wasn't going to get anything out of Deidre. Deidre was known for being too secretive ,nobody ever really knew what was going on in her life. "Deidre Honey" said Ingrid, I thought you were going to come back home with someone special for Thanksgiving. Someone Special, Deidre exclaimed, mum please don't start. I'm getting Old, I want to hold my grandkids before I pass on, Ingrid said. Mum, come on you are just forty-eight, you aren't even old. The fact that you and dad got married early doesn't mean I want to, I'm just twenty-eight, Deidre said while rolling her eyes. Her mother had tried to set her up with different men, but Deidre being a touch nut to crack always had the men running away. Your sister told me she's bringing someone for Thanksgiving, Ingrid said with a smile on her face, I hope it works out between them, I really want to have a wedding to plan, and most especially, I want to plan my daughters weddings. Mum, you really need to slow down, she didn't tell you she was bringing her boyfriend over for Thanksgiving, she said she was bringing someone special,it could be a close friend for all we know, she wasn't specific, stop getting ahead of yourself. Oh Deidre, you know your sister, she didn't have to tell me who it is, From the sound of her voice, I could tell, my baby Denise is in love, Ingrid said. "Must be nice, Deidre said while rolling her eyes", she didn't want to spend Thanksgiving with her mother hammering on marriage every opportunity she gets. When last did you talk to your sister Dei ? Did she tell you anything about her friend she's bringing for Thanksgiving? Ingrid asked. I texted her a couple of days ago, I told her I was going home for Thanksgiving, she seemed excited about it , and she mentioned we have a lot to catch up on and she has someone, she will love me to meet. Denise will always be my baby sister, and I love her to bits, if she has anything to tell me, I'll always be down to listen. I'm just glad that I'm having both my girls for thanksgiving , Ingrid said as she drove into the Anderson's Estate. "Ingrid drove into the compound and parked right in front of white luxurious mansion, where Attorney Benjamin Anderson was standing, waiting to welcome his daughter ". "Dei Dei" oh am I glad to see you, Attorney Ben Anderson said with his hands stretched out ,moving fast ready to hug his daughter. "Attorney Benjamin Anderson was a top notch lawyer, he was one of the most sought after lawyers in New York. He had only lost a single case throughout his entire career. He was so proud of his family and his two adorable daughters a twenty-eight year old talent manager and a twenty-four year old international model. Although he wanted Deidre to become a lawyer, he was still proud of what Deidre achieved all by herself" . My little girl is not so little anymore, he said. Yes daddy, your princess is all grown up, she said as her took her hand and twirled her around. Simon, Simon Attorney Anderson yelled, come help Deidre with her bags, I'm sure my princess must be exhausted. "Simon was the French butler/ chauffeur, he had worked for the Andersons for ten years, he was funny, trusted and loyal". Simon, tu m'as manqué, Deidre said, (Simon, I have missed you) J'étais à Paris il y a quelques semaines (I was in Paris some weeks ago) Oh la la, Mademoiselle Déidre, ton français est magnifique replied Simon. (wow, miss Deidre, your French is magnificent) Qui, Qui replied Deidre, Je parle beaucoup français maintenant.(I speak French and lot now) Please more of English less of French, Jeffrey said as he walked towards Deidre. "Jeffrey was Attorney Anderson's bodyguard, he always kept a straight face and had a body of a WWE champion". Miss Deidre i'm highly elated to see you, Jeffrey said as he hugged Deidre. Alright, enough Chit chat, let's all go inside, Dei Dei must be exhausted, Attorney Anderson said. I'll help you with the bags Simon, Jeffrey volunteered. "Attorney Anderson held Deidre's hand as they all made their way through the door. The Anderson's mansion was luxurious, the living room had expensive Fleur-de- lis curtains,imported Italian furniture and a chandelier hanging from the ceiling". I have missed everyone so so much, Simon, Helena, Madam Dubuois ,Jeffrey and Skye. Where's Skye by the way, Deidre asked "Woof, Woof" A white Alaskan malamute barked as it ran down the staircase straight to Deidre. Skyyye, who's a good boy, who's a good she said while gently rubbing Skye all over his body. Where is Madam Dubois and Helena? Deidre asked. Madam Dubois went shopping for Thanksgiving and Helena went home for Thanksgiving, she should be back next weekend, Ingrid replied. I need to freshen up Deidre said ,See you all in a few, she said while going up the stairs with Skye walking closely beside her. Whenever Deidre says 'See you in a few', she's going to take ages to get ready, Ingrid said with a smile on her as she walked towards her husband. Benjamin our family is finally going to be complete, both our girls will be under our roof again, and Denise is coming back with a special friend, very soon we would be planning a wedding Attorney Anderson laughed, Ingrid darling, take things slow, we don't even know who this special friend is. "Dei Dei, Madam Dubois shouted with joy, as she ran into the living room, flinging all the bags in her hands, all over the perfectly waxed tiles". Calm down Madam Dubois, Dei Dei is in her room, she's freshening up, I know you missed Deidre but please contain yourself, Attorney Anderson said with a smile on his face. "I have missed my girls so much". Dei and Dee, my little ladies, I miss when this house was filled with their voices, madam Dubois said. I'll quickly put these in the kitchen, she said while bending down to pick up the bags she had flung on the tiles. "Dinner would be ready by 8pm" Madam Dupois said as she made her way to the kitchen. Benjamin listen, A car is honking, that must be Denise, Ingrid said as she rushed outside the house. The gates were flung open and a Black 2022 Range Rover Sport Supercharged car drove into the compound. A handsome man, with a nice body build and dreamy eyes came down from the car, and opened the car door for a beautiful brunette girl with brown eyes. Mum, Dad Denise screamed as she ran towards her mother. Oh, my baby, my dear Denise, Ingrid said while hugging her daughter. Where's everyone Mum? Denise asked. Madam Dupois is in the kitchen making dinner, Jeffrey and Simon should be around somewhere and your sister is upstairs with Skye,Ingrid replied. Denise let go of her mother and hugged her father. My baby is all grown up Attorney Anderson said while hugging his daughter , I hope you enjoyed your ride home and Daniel drove carefully. Oh yes I did, He drove carefully Daddy, Denise replied. Hello everyone , the handsome young man said as he cleared his throat, It's so nice to finally meet you, I have heard so many nice things about you all, it's really a pleasure. Denise, wouldn't you like to introduce us to this lovely Gentleman, Ingrid asked with a smile on her face. "Pardon my manners, I got carried away, this lovely Gentleman is my boyfriend Nico" Denise responded, Nico this is my mum and dad, you will meet the rest of the family shortly. Nice to meet you Nico, I hope my daughter has been a sweet girl to you and I hope you have been giving her nothing but a Queen's treatment. Yes sir, Denise is a sweet girl, one of the things I do love about her, She's a Queen and I spoil her silly, Nico replied. As it should be, Attorney Anderson replied, my daughters are queens and deserve nothing but queen's treatment. Come on in Nico, let's all go in, he said. It feels so good to be home, I can't wait to have a taste of Madam Dubois meals again, Denise said. "Cupcake" said Nico as he looked down on his phone, I'll be right back, I need to take this call, he said while heading towards the door. What's the noise for Deidre said while walking down the staircase with Skye by her side barking out loud, Oh my God, Denise ,she screamed while running down the staircase. Denise ran towards her sister too, and gave her a big hug. Deidre, I have missed you so so much, there's so much I have to tell you Dei Dei but before first , I want you to meet someone. Sweetheart, Denise shouted, please come this way darling , Nico turned back only to see the gorgeous Deidre. "Deee" ,Nico said with an expression of shock. Nico, Deidre shouted, How, what ,why are you here? Nico couldn't believe his eyes, he was looking at Deidre Anderson.
