My wife was looking astonishingly beautiful. I couldn't find words to describe her because she has become more beautiful during the past years.

She looked so shocked when she saw me. It was as though she saw a ghost, I couldn't blame her because it had been years since she saw me.

“You! Liam!” she said in shock, not believing her eyes.

“It's me, my love, I am back for you,” I smiled at her.

Liam Evans is back for his wife after 4 years of being separated. He let her go years ago to protect her and now he is back to claim her. Unknowingly to him, she was pregnant at that time.

Will she forgive him for the hurt he caused her years ago?

Will he be successful in his mission since she got engaged to Aiden Wales to get back at him?

I SIGNED THE DIVORCE PAPER
PROLOGUE Sophia Smiles beamed over my face as the doctor shared the news of my pregnancy. I couldn't stop smiling, I was full of joy at hearing the news. My husband is going to be elated about the news and I can't wait to see the joy on his face. “Thank you, doctor,” I shook his hands and got up to leave. “You are welcome, Mrs Evans, and have a lovely day.” “You too, doctor,” I said, then took my leave. It’s only been 6 months since we got married, and I am carrying my husband's child. I can't believe I am 4 weeks pregnant. I would not have been married to the love of my life, but for the timely intervention of my grandfather, Charles Rowlings, who begged my father to let Liam and I get married. Mr Alexander Rowlings, who is my father, stiffly opposed my marriage to Liam for selfish reasons. He wanted me to get married to Aiden Wales, his business partner and friend's son, so they could merge their businesses, and getting married to Aiden would make the process easy. I vehemently disagree, even if Aiden was my childhood friend. I only love him as a friend, not as a lover. My father even threatened to cut off my inheritance, but I stood my ground to be with Liam. Liam or no one else. I talked to my grandfather about it and he intervened. My father found it hard to disrespect his father, so he reluctantly agreed to the marriage, but he told me Liam would hurt me and I would come back crying for him. It's been 6 months since we’ve gotten married and all Liam has shown me is love and lots of love. I will choose my husband over again even in next life. And this pregnancy is the seal of our undying love for each other. On my way home, I branched out at the grocery store. I wanted to prepare a romantic dinner for the love of my life, candles on the table, wine, and a delicious meal to celebrate the news. I will give the cook the day off. I know she will be happy to hear that. But the universe has another plan in mind. As I stepped into the mansion, I saw two people making out right there on the sofa. I kept blinking my eyes to be sure this was reality and not a dream. Right in front of me, my world was shattered. I couldn't believe it, this couldn't be possible. Anger engulfed me, my heart hurt and tears kept streaming from my eyes as I witnessed the betrayal. This is too much to handle, my husband and the cook making out on the sofa. He was sucking her lips as though his life depended on it, and she was moaning to his kisses. I don't know if they noticed my presence because they did not stop kissing. I dropped the bags with me, and they stopped to look at what had distracted them. Immediately they left each other. My husband looked at me with no emotions in his eyes as though he was expecting me to see them in that situation. He wasn't remorseful and this hurt me more. Lily, the cook, was shivering and looking down at her feet. She couldn't face me. I never expected this from them. I loved Lily like a sister. I bought her clothes, made her comfortable, and tripled the agreed salary considering her poor background, and now she has the guts to betray me. The man who I thought loved me, cheated on me with the cook. Tears kept streaming from my eyes. I picked up my bag and headed towards the door. “Wait Sophia, you need to sign this,” my husband called me back, and I turned to see what he wanted me to sign. “ I love Lily and I want to be with her. Please sign this divorce paper,” he said without any emotion in his eyes as he handed me the paper. His words hit me so hard like a tornado, I can't believe the man I sacrificed everything for is asking for a divorce. He is getting rid of me quickly. I wanted to protest, at least ask him what I did to deserve this from him, but I kept to myself. Since he has decided to be with the woman he loved, I will never be anything to him. This hurt me so much, seeing my dear husband with another woman. I looked at him, he had a cold expression as he stretched the divorce paper to me. I collected it, and I saw he had signed it on already, so I picked the pen from the table and put my signature on it. That is it, it’s done. I am no longer Liam Evans’ wife. I left, never to return to his life. I went back to my father's mansion and explained what had happened to him. True to my father's words, Liam eventually hurt me. He was glad I left Liam and came back to him. I cried for days, and he was there to console me. My grandpa was also there to wipe my tears. He was heartbroken that Liam cheated. My father and grandpa were the only family I knew while growing up. My father told me my mother died in a car crash the year I was born. So I have just the two of them since my grandmother is also dead. 8 months later, I gave birth to my handsome son, Jackson Rowlings, in a private hospital. My father made sure Liam did not know about the birth of his son. I was happy with the decision because I did not want anything to do with Liam again, even including not knowing about the birth of his son. His betrayal still stings, and he deserves not knowing anything about the birth of his son. I looked at my son, Jackson Rowlings. His eyes shone as I stared at his brown eyes just like his father. “You are my sunshine. I will do everything I can to keep you safe, and I will cherish you forever,” I said, looking at him in my arms. “What do you plan on doing now?” my father asked, looking at both Jackson and I I took a deep breath and I replied to him. “I want to start afresh with Jackson, go to another country, and settle with him.” “That is a good idea, my baby. What do you think about London? Rowling's company just got a new branch in London and will need a CEO. You could be the CEO of the new company and Aiden Wales will be there to assist you since he resides there." “Aiden Wales!” I said in surprise. “Yes, Aiden Wales, he will be at the new company to assist you in the company,” Since I got married to Liam, I haven't heard anything about Aiden. I weighed my father's suggestion. I don't want to go to London because I don't want to be close with Aiden, knowing my father wants us together, but London is a good idea since there is a post in London waiting for me, and it's a good place to start afresh. “Okay Father, London will be a good place for a fresh start.” “Alright, I will start the preparations,” he left to begin the traveling processes. My grandpa was in the room all the while, he was quiet, and he looked pained seeing the way my marriage turned out. He felt guilty because he supported my marriage to Liam. “Grandpa, you do not have to continue feeling guilty.” “I am not, I am just worried about how you will survive with the baby in London,” he said. “Yes, I will. You do not have to worry about me,” I said, trying to light up his mood. “I have a friend in London. Would you mind if you employ her as Jackson's nanny to reduce your burden,” he asked. “Sure Grandpa, you can send me her number. I will contact her when I get there. That is so thoughtful of you Grandpa,” I smiled. “I will miss you, my baby,” he said, embracing me with Jackson. “I will miss you more, Grandpa.” A few days later, I relocated to London with my sunshine.
