Chapter 36 Tyler couldn’t believe his luck. Ruby was alive. And they’d captured three wolfkin. His mind reeled at what he’d witnessed. Ruby had befriended the wolfkin. How was that possible? He watched her sitting in the wagon ahead of him as it jounced along the path. The wolfkin were stowed in the cage wagon ahead of her. The horses pulling that cart were mad with fear and raced as fast as they could. If it took too long to reach the castle, Tyler would have to replace those horses before they collapsed. Ruby had asked to be in the cage with the injured beast, but Tyler wouldn’t allow that.
