Ruby wasn’t allowed in the cage with Lanson. It wasn’t what the wolfkin would want anyway. He’d want her to concentrate on getting the key and setting them free.
That was beyond difficult. For one thing, the wolfkin had no specific plan for her to follow. They’d left it up to her to figure it out. They didn’t know the layout of the wolfkin yard or the routines of the hunters. Only she knew that.
