Roommate 2

Taking a nap was definitely a good idea, because as soon as she woke up, she felt much more refreshed and light. Looking at the other side of the room, there was still no sign of her roomie. She finally gave up on whoever it was. If she was really a night person, that wouldn’t be good for her as she has a strict policy of no time for stupid fun, she could use all. She time for practice on her instrument or to just read.

Checking her time, she sees that it was already time for dinner. She dressed up in a light green top and a trouser with the colour blue.

Taking her time to check her map again before assuring herself that she could get to the common room without getting lost, she puts her sneakers on. Locking the door, she finds her way to the common room. Meeting new people on her way to the room but she just moves her face away as she does not want to have anything doing with anyone. But as she collected her food, she finds a place to eat, spotting an empty sit she decides to sit there but just before she could sit on the chair, the girl with the purple bow tie from her morning class had already taken the sit from her.

Frowning, all she wants to do is to shout at her for taking the seat from her, but she breaths in then out, calming herself. Just then the girl faced up like she did not notice her standing just beside her and said

“Hey, we share three classes and, as I had said earlier in class, my name is Emma Greenwood. Nice to meet you again” She says all bright with her dimples fully appearing at both sides of her cheek. Just because of that, Kerra decides to change her mind about the girl, she really does seem lovely, no doubt.

“Hi, I’m Kerra too. Nice to meet you. Well, I must say I was annoyed at first as I was about sitting on the chair before you came but it’s …” Emma cuts her and she stands up immediately.

“Oh my gosh, I am so sorry, I did not just raise my head. I just tend to lack that ordinary. Please do not mind me” She says smiling, Kerra is really taken aback by her character. She was not expecting her to be like this but, yeah, she is definitely liking her

“No, you can’t just decide to stand like that. I will just take the sit beside you and start all over.” She drops her tray and the table just next to Emma and seats before facing her not really knowing what to say at this point again. ‘See! She is definitely a disaster when it comes to making friends’ She thinks to herself. But then her new found friend comes to the rescue as she asks

“Heard some rumors about you but since I am really not a fan I didn’t get to really listen but are you really the daughter of Lady Bolt?” Emma asks wide eyes, it makes the Irish colour of her eyes to get more lighter and due to the effect of the common room lights, it makes her eye sparkle.

‘Damn, seriously, if this girl asks me anything with those eyes I would probably give her any damn thing’ Kerra thoughts

Though she always feel uncomfortable discussing the subject, but with this girl, she does not feel any discomfort instead she really does not mind telling her about it.

“Well, yes to your question. She is my mum, the daughter of the popular Lady Blot, I mean I do not really like to say it cause I seriously feel uncomfortable saying it. People expect much from me because she is my mother but yeah we are two different people” Kerra says

Emma nods her head as if trying to absorb what she just said

“Well to be candid I was not really listening in the class this morning when you were introducing yourself but I was really hoping against hope that you would not be a campus Bella” She says facing her up front, not even minding whatever is going to happen.

‘Damn, she is a brave one’ Kerra thinks to herself

“Well, I have no idea what to say to that but one thing is definitely for sure” Kerra say reducing her voice

“I am a very shy person. My personality which I show to the world is a different me as I do not want people to look down on me or my mum. You understand what ia m saying right? Cause I feel like I am saying rubbish”

“No, no, no, I totally understand you and that’s actually cool. When it comes to me I do not hid anything from you. When you do something, well I tell you straight, no hiding and I’m sharp.” She laughs at the end of her statement

“Why are you laughing, that’s actually a great character, I really wish I was like that, maybe my mum would reduce her shouting on my head” They both laugh at her word

“Well, I was actually laughing because my mum also talks a lot about my mouth. So many times she would tell me people have heart to. Like I seriously do not know, I mean” Emma says raising her hand as if questioning Kerra.

“Yeah, I get that feeling, mum would never let me be, she does not always pester me to follow her dreams, well of course not but whatever it is I want to become, she wants me to have control over myself, to voice out, and so on. Jesus I feel it’s a lot of work” Kerra made an expression like she is totally exhausted this makes Emma laugh then looks at Kerra straight in the eye

“I think we do click” she said

“Well, it’s a surprise for me too. I was thinking I would not be able to make any friend till I leave the school. This is really a miracle to me.” She concludes

“Well, I’m glad I could help. Nice meeting you again” She offers her hand for a shake

“My pleasure” She returns the shake

“Let’s eat before it goes cold, but I think you might not wanna go with school food. I just plan to balance myself first before I finally get something to eat as from tomorrow”

“I had the idea in my head but I also do not feel like going anywhere tonight so I decided on tomorrow. How about we go together?” Kerra suggested

“Not bad, immediately after school in the afternoon tomorrow”

“Alright” They both faced their food.
