Chapter 21
“Darius, why was your name scrubbed from the perimeter schedule?”
The question arose right after training finished. Late the night before, Owen had called an urgent meeting with the other trainers of the pack to discuss a change in the main schedule. That’s when Angelo’s eyes caught the gap where Darius’s name had been just that morning.
Darius didn’t look up immediately. “Angelo, I respect you as one of the pack’s trainers, but you’ll have to take this up with the Luna. All I know is that she ordered Owen to remove me from the rotation until further notice,” he answered, his voice intentionally neutral.
“I’m asking you,” Angelo pressed, stepping into the other man’s space.
“And I am not permitted to answer.”
