What would she do if I kissed her? The internal question took me by surprise. Things between Harper and I were more complicated than ever. It didn’t seem appropriate to be thinking about that the moment after she’s been granted a divorce from her abusive ex.
I looked down into her eyes, wondering if there was still a part of her that loved Mason, even after everything he’d done. But the way stared up at me didn’t seem like there was anyone but me she was thinking about.
