when did it all begin?
The day had been a relentless storm. Everything is going in order for everyone but her.A fight with her parents over a trivial matter had soured the morning. Her siblings, lost in their own worlds, barely acknowledged her presence. And the university? A series of disappointments that left her feeling invisible.
But now it's her time, the best time of her life when there is no one to judge her and she relaxes in her comfy yet somewhat undesired bed. Now, as night descended, she sought refuge in her bed, the day's weight pressing upon her.
Hala closed her eyes and a strange sensation washed over her. It wasn't sleep, not yet. Instead, a vibrant scene began to unfold behind her eyelids. Something that she always wanted to happen in her reality but it was impossible which is the sole reason for her to seek refuge in her dreams that she created while being wide awake. Funny, right? But not for Hala as these dreams are the only reason she gets through the whole day.
Hala went to a wedding with her parents and siblings and as always there was a fight between them before leaving the house.
Mom: Why is everyone still not ready?
Dad: When did you ever teach them to be on time ?
Mom: So it's again my fault?
Hala: Stop it mama baba, you need to get ready on time as well we have to leave now. (Shaken up from the fight.)
Her siblings busy on their mobiles as always.
The next second Hala was standing in a grand hall, giving her best smiles to everyone as she always does. But deep down drowning in the thoughts that someone out there must be judging her right now. Music filled the air, and the room was alive with laughter and celebration. But the most astonishing part? Hala became the center of it all. How did it happen?
It was her teacher who called her name.
Teacher: Hala oh dear how have you been?....I saw you from afar and knew who exactly you were.
Hala: Astonished by the presence of her teacher couldn't speak a word.
Teacher: What have you been up to?
Hala: Teacher Sera it's nice seeing you again. I am doing what I have always done. studying and eating, haha.
Sera: That's what makes you human Hala. I like how you have grown up so much.
Hala: In awe because of her teachers appreciating words , because that not something that she hears every now and then.
Teacher Sera: Hala why don't you come with me to meet my family?
People she didn't recognize smiled at her, their eyes filled with warmth and affection.A handsome man approached her, his gaze filled with love. He was the son of her teacher.
