Almost every class So far I had one of the boys in. Even Samuel sat next to me but didn’t say anything. He even glared at me when I tried to make conversation with him. Who wants to glare at this pretty face? Him that’s who. I did catch him watching me a couple times even without the glare but I kind of liked it. It made me feel nervous as if it was my first kiss or something. Anyways, after the class that I had with both Samuel and Jamil, Jamil was talking both our ears off as I continuously gave him a pointed look as Samuel just looked amused.
“So you have a lucky man in your life?” Jamil ask as I snort a laugh.
“I guess you could probably, not but really can say that.” I shrug as he gives me a look as if I had three heads but I continue with a shrug. “He hasn’t checked on me since I got here and I guess I thought it was a relationship and he had another theory, even though it’s only been two days.”
“Guys are d***s my grasshopper.” Jamil says wrapping his arms around my shoulder as I shrug him off but he doesn't let up. “if he doesn’t check on you he int worth your time.”
“I’m not your grasshopper, also I know that. Guys never grow up.” I tell him.
“I wouldn’t say that.” Samuel adds into an A and B conversation watching me. “It’s more of the type of guys that you keep company that’s your problem.”
“So you’re saying I’m bad at choosing a partner?” I ask him with my hands on my hips as Samuel looks embarrassed.
“No that’s not what I was getting at.” He states with an embarrassed look as I laugh.
“I’m just messing with you.” I smirk shrugging. “Honestly, I’m glad I’m here. It’s a nice change and if he doesn't talk to me his loss right?”
We continue to walk to the cafeteria where I see the girls waving at me. I leave the boys not saying anything and sit down with the girls.
“I see Jamil and Samuel have taken a liking on you.” Erin giggles as I give her a disgusted look.
“Yeah seems like everyone has except Lucas.” I smirk as Paige shakes her head at me. “And Nathan doesn’t particularly like me.”
“Well duh you keep calling him Lucas he will surely hate you.” Tina smiles. "Sam doesn't much talk to girls, that's why a lot of them are drawn to him so I would say he likes you."
“Did you ladies decide on where we were hanging out today?” I ask them completely ignoring Tina as they shrug.
“No but Ruben said he had the perfect place.” Tina shrugs as she starts to eat her lunch.
“Ladies.” Travis sits down between Tina and I smiling. “How are you today?”
“I’m not letting you in my pants today Travis so don’t even ask.” Tina rolls her eyes as he huffs at her and I see a blush forming across his cheeks.
“First off Tina, I don’t want it anymore so f**k You. Second off I just came to be nice.” He pouts making me laugh.
“We are great Travis thanks for asking.” I respond as he smiles widely at me.
“I like you. You’re way nicer then them.” He lays his head in my shoulder as I give all the girls a look. “Can I give you a nickname?”
“Not if you would like to keep your tongue.”
“Wow.” He sits up with a frown. “I just gave you a compliment about you being nice, that’s not nice.”
“I don’t need a nickname my name is already short enough.” I explain as he shakes his head laughing.
“It won’t be a nickname off of your name it would be something I make up.” he gives me a duh look.
“Only I can do that.” Jamil exclaims glaring at Travis.
“I’m trying to enjoy my lunch. Take the fight else where.” Paige says but the both of them ignore her.
“Get away from my bestie.” Jamil tells him making him smirk.
“She’s not your bestie. She’s mine. She just defended me for your information.” Travis says triumphantly.
“Yeah and she said she will rip your tongue out.” Tina said making Jamil smirk.
“She obviously told you that this seat was taken as well.” Jamil grabs Travis pushing him out the seat and sitting next to me smiling widely. “Hey flower.”
“And now I’m sick.” Paige says putting her food on the side making a face at Jamil as I laugh at her discomfort with their arguing.
“Wow, guys are total girls, you just hide it very well.” Tina says as Travis finds a seat next to Paige.
“So how was everyone’s day?” I ask as I get a collection of ‘it sucked’ or ‘I wish I was dead.’ The last one was from Paige. Poor thing can’t even finish her food.
We continue to chat during the hour as I look around back to the boys table and I see Samuel watching me. I make no move to look Back at him as I turn away but I feel a smile stretching across my face. The bell rings as we all get up and throw away what’s left of the food everyone ate.
“What do I do in free period?” I ask as Jamil smiles picking me up into his arms making me squeal. I didn’t understand why he always thought picking me up is the way to go when it certainly isn’t. “Put me down.”
“You can hang with me in the yard by the maple tree.” He says still holding me in his arms. I see Samuel and Luke catch up to us as Samuel just rolls his eyes at us.
“Help me.” I whine as Tina smirks at us.
“Now you can forget about Joe.” Paige makes a twisted face as I laugh.
“Who?” I ask as Jamil finally puts me on my feet.
“I could make you forget.” Jamil says wiggling his eyebrows at me.
“You can’t claim to be my bestie and want me to forget another mans dick.” I roll my eyes at him as he pouts. “Remember no drooling.”
“You’re right. I made a mistake.”
“Okay, are we going to stand here or are we going to class?” Erin says giving Jamil an annoyed look.
“You’re right, bye ladies.” Lucas smirks at the girls as Jamil and I walk out to the tree that he talks about and I smile because it’s so beautiful.
“First day and I feel as if I made a weird impression.” Jamil admits making me smile.
“You could say that. I mean I get it because I’m the first girl not to fawn over you.” I smirk.
“Not only that, you’re really cool. Like most girls aren’t. They usually all act crazy.” He shrugs as we both sit down leaning against the tree. As I sit I see Samuel right with us as he sits on the other side of me.
“So you have a boyfriend?”
—
“Oh wow, isn’t this wonderful.” Lucas looks me over as I walk into class and sit next to him smiling.
“Please you can’t honestly hate me forever Luuucassss.” I smile up at him as he pulls out his notebook ignoring me.
“He can And He probably will.” Jamil says sitting behind me as Samuel sits on the other side of me. I don’t know why they surrounded me like this but at least I didn’t have to sit by someone I didn’t know.
“So what is the plans for this afternoon?” I ask them.
“Well Reuben said he found the perfect place to eat so, not sure.” Jamil responds the same way that Tina responds and all I could do was nod.
