Annoyed

“You’re soaked.” Annie smirks as I nod smiling. “Yeah, I am.” I go up the stairs and strip out of my wet clothes inside the bathroom. I smile getting into the shower. I don’t know. And I say it a lot, but there is something that makes me so happy about Jake asking me out. I take a shower getting into warm clothes then check on Adrian before heading back downstairs. “How was your studying?” Annie as with a smirk still on her face. “Uh good.” I shrug. “Has grandma been home?” “Yeah, she came by today. We gave her a little spook but she said she will be off tomorrow and we will all eat out.” Andy explains. “Oh yay.” I smile at them. “Do you think you will join anything in college?” Aaron ask as I shrug. “Um probably not. It’s better if I stay focus on just my classes.” I explain as Annie frowns. “True. You do plan to be a nurse major and they are intense.” Andy nods. “What about the Nate kid. Does he know what colleges he wants to go to?” “I’ve never asked him.” I tell Aaron and I realize I’m about to get tired of this conversation real quick. “Maybe that’s a subject you both should be talking about.” — “I made breakfast.” My grandma shakes me awake with a smile on her face. “All my beautiful grand baby’s are here with me.” “Yeah, surprise.” I smile as she laughs hugging me. “I heard you finally applied to Ohio state.” She slaps my arm before scowling me. “I thought you already did so I never bothered you to do it.” “Sorry. It’s still the beginning of senior year.” I pout as she rolls her eyes. “Doesn’t matter young lady. Their acceptance rate is low. So you have to do it on time.” She tells me as I pout, everyone is on my case. “Okay okay. Enough college talk.” I get out of bed and brush my teeth. I walk down the stairs realizing I’m probably not going to school again so it makes no sense to dress up or fix my hair in the mess it really is. “Oh sleeping Beauty is awake.” Aaron kisses the top of my head trying to fix my hair ever so slightly. “So what are we doing today?” I ask sitting down and reaching for the buffet of food that day in front of me. “Uh, don’t know. Nothing to really do here.” Andy mumbles as Annie gives him a look. “There’s a lot we could do in Georgia.” Annie laughs before she shakes her head. “Well we aren’t anywhere near Atlanta so for us, there’s nothing to do here.” A knock comes To the door as I race Aaron to the door. I swing it open only for Aaron to push me out the way as I tumble to the floor. “Oh Nate and Jamil.” Aaron greets them as they walk in and glance over at me. “Uh You Okay?” Jamil laughs as Nate was already by my side lifting me up. “Oh yeah, just great.” I tell them glaring at a proud Aaron. “Hey beautiful.” He kisses my cheek as I smile. “I doubt it. I look a hot ass mess.” I roll my eyes as he cuffs my cheeks smiling. “And you still seem to look beautiful.” “Please come to school.” Jamil interrupts our conversation pouting. “I cannot deal with Tash by myself. I need you there to protect me.“ “She’s literally smaller than me. Just run away.” “You say that as if it’s easy! She clings onto my pants buckle hole and keeps up.” “Boohoo.” I smile as he grumbles. “Fine. But we have a project in first period and I already started it.” He handed me some papers making me smile. “Thank you.” “Please come to school.” Nate brushes his lips against mine as I melt into his arms. “I’m coming tomorrow.” I tell him as he pouts then sets his glare on Jamil. “You’re leaving me again with Jamil.” He whines in my ear. “Okay give her a kiss and keep it moving.” My brother breaks it up as I see a angry look settle on Nate face before he smiles at me. That reminds me. “What the-“ “I could’ve died.” I yell at Aaron strangling him for I jumped on his back and now he has no way of throwing me off of him. “Get her off.” Aaron says to the boys as Nate happily pries me off and into him arms. “I’ll see you after practice.” He wraps his arms around me as I lean in kissing him as he depends the kiss. “Bye.” I wave at both Jamil and Nate as they leave. I sigh closing the door behind them. “I don’t like that you have a boyfriend, but he’s a damn good football player and has a future ahead of him.” “Oh thanks.” I pat Aaron’s shoulder rolling my eyes. Sometimes I forget that he takes the father figure over me. “Well, since you guys are here I picked up a shift.” My grandma kisses us before leaving out the door. “We must be losers.” Andy slumps into the couch. “Even grandma doesn’t want to hang with us.” “Oh! Let’s go shopping. I need clothes anyway.” Annie chimes in. “Fine. But lemme fix my hair.” I go back up stairs to see a woken Adrian who was just chilling in the bed. I pick him up bringing him into the bathroom brushing his teeth and fixing my hair. I dress the both of us before heading downstairs. I put on a blank tank top with a light blue mini skirt and a black light cardigan. “Addy.” Andy picks up Adrian kissing his cheeks. “Alright let’s go.” Aaron exclaims before hugging me. “Oh surprise.” He passes me random keys which I know wasn’t his as I raise my eyebrow at him. “Oh yay, I get to drive.” I roll my eyes as he laughs. “No i***t, I got you a car.” “Uh no.” I try and hand him keys back as he shakes his head. “ I cannot accept this Aaron.” “Uh yes you can and you are. This is your car.” He ruffles my hair that I just fixed. “You are my little sister. I make money that I don’t use and it makes sense to help my sibling out every step of the way.” “Fine.” I whine as we walk outside and I see a brand new Toyota Corolla sitting in the drive way. “Oh thank you. I’m glad it’s not a fast car.” “Oh no it’s a sport.” I turn and glare at him. “Take it back. I want the slowest car possible.” “You’re crazy.” Annie laughs. They all had sports cars. Aaron rocked a dark blue 3rd series BMW Andy had a Ford Mustang, which I think is ugly but that’s just my opinion and Annie has a Audi R8. See that’s ridiculous. That’s more than 300,000 dollars combined. “No. Please don’t spend your money like this on me.” I tell him. “You deserve it.” He shakes my shoulders. “You were taking care of Adrian and going to school like a god damn teen mom. You deserve the world.” “Okay, fine.” I smile at Aaron. “Thank you.” “You’re welcome.” He kisses my forehead as we pile into his car. Annie sits Adrian on his lap as Aaron drives down the road. We head for the mall, well the farthest mall from us. “Alright, I need some stuff from the Nike store.” Aaron smiles. “As well as getting Adrian some new drip.” “Don’t say that.” I laugh as he pops his imaginary collar. “Maybe I can get you a fit too.” He nods as Annie passes Adrian to Aaron. Aaron and I walk to the Nike while Annie and Andy walk away. “Okay so I was lying, I don’t know if I’m okay with you dating Nate.” He shrugs as I give him a look over. “Aaron.” I drag out rolling my eyes. He never knows when to quit. “Look, you’re my baby sister, and he’s bigger than you. I hope you two aren’t fucking.” He tells me as I groan rolling my eyes once again “Please. We aren’t having s*x. Okay?” “Okay. Well I want you and him to have dinner with me tonight. It’ll be just us and I want to ask him questions.” He nods. “You are being crazy right now.” I roll my eyes sighing. “How about tomorrow night?” “Tomorrow night fine.”
