“Flower.” Jamil hugs me as I smile hugging him back.
“Hello.” I wave at Reuben and Lucas as they walk up to me.
“Hey. This is the assignment.” Lucas pulls out a folder. “The teacher says it’s okay that you’re off for the week, but they need to be turned in by Monday.”
“Erm.” I grumble as Nate walks up on the middle of our ‘huddle’ hugging me.
“Hi baby.”
“So, okay let’s go to the park and Alex you have to be my wing man today because Angela will be there.” Lucas exclaims making me smile.
“So you want us, to go to the park as big as we are, no football nothing.” Jamil gives Lucas a look. “We will look like idiots.”
“It won’t matter what we look like, I’m getting a girl, period.” My jaw drops as I glance over at Lucas patting his chest.
“I don’t think today will be the day.”
“What why? I’m ready.” He whines dropping his hands.
“You’re not convincing me.” I shrug.
“Okay, my idea still stands MINI GOLF.”
—
And that’s what we did. We played mini golf. We all piled into Nate truck, well not all, Lucas and Reuben rode with Erin and Paige while Travis, Jamil and Tina rode with Nate and I. As we drive Nate lays his hand on my thigh never leaving it as he sends chills but warmth throughout my body.
“Oh I’m kicking everyone’s ass.” Jamil exclaims.
“You don’t win in mini golf.” Travis laughs.
“You’re a joke. I’m actually going to win.” Tina smirks at him.
“I thought we were just going for fun?” I ask as they glance at me.
“No. I offered so we play competitive.” Jamil rolls his eyes playfully as I laugh at him.
“Okay.” I turn back around to a smiling Nate.
“Well that just means some alone time with me.” He says squeezing my thigh lightly. We get to a glow in the dark mini golf and park the car as Jamil and Tina are the first to jump out. Travis follows behind not looking like he even wants to be here.
“Hey.” Nate unbuckles my seat belt pulling me so I’m in top of him. I raise an eyebrow at him as he flicks up my skirt giving me a smirk.
“Hi.” I gives him a kiss as he wraps his arms around me pulling me closer.
“You’re mine. All mine.” He smiles squeezing my ass as I laugh.
“Stop that.” Lucas knocks on Nate window but walks away with Reuben.
“Ugh, how about we Just go back to my house?” He smirks.
“No, lets mini golf.” I open his door and slide out holding his hand. He hops out closing the door and following behind me.
“You have to change.” He mumbles in my ear.
“Why?” I look down at my outfit as he puts his hand up my skirt making me gasp. I slap his hand away making him laugh.
“That’s why.” He says as I wink at him.
“Sorry, I just wanted to show you what i have.” I smirk catching up with everyone.
“Okay so all for one and one for all.” Jamil says as he passes Nate and I our club and balls. I hold the balls in my hand showing Nate making him roll his eyes.
“Okay.” Lucas looks at me before furrowing his eyebrows. “Stop that.”
“Sorry.” I laugh feeling embarrassed that he caught me.
“Come on.” Nate pulls be away from the group planting a kiss on my lips. “I didn’t want you to get in the mix of their fighting.”
“I’m totally going to win.” Jamil yells in Lucas face.
“You can barely play basketball. You have no aim. You suck, you will lose to me.” Lucas replies rolling his eyes at him.
“Oh yeah? Alright.” Jamil pushes him as I gasp because he almost bumped into me. I hope they don’t really start fighting.
“Guys.” Erin puts her hand in both of their chest shaking her head. “If you two don’t behave right now.”
“We aren’t fighting.” Lucas pushed her hands off him as he had a playful glare on his face. “You will lose.”
They start to ply and Nate and I stand back watching them. It was so cute to see how they were all competing to hit the ball in the hole less times but they were all doing pretty terrible.
“Our turn.” Nate smacks my ass as I put my ball down and aim for the hole and make it in with one swing.
“This is easier than I thought.” I smile up at everyone as they frown.
“You, you’re cheating!” Reuben exclaims.
“No she’s just good.” Nate makes his hole after three tries and we keep moving.
“I think it’s you guys that suck and are making your egos bigger than they actually are.” I tell him.
“What are you talking about?” Tina laughs as I shrug.
“I don’t know I wanted the last laugh.” I tell her.
❧
“I’m hungry.” Jamil whines tallying up his score.
“You’re always hungry.” Lucas rolls his eyes. “Oh never mind that’s Nate.”
“Well I am hungry.” He kisses my neck. “But I’m hungry for something else.”
“Nate.” I swat him away as I feel a blush.
“Are you blushing?” He smirks turning me so I’m facing him as I cover my face.
“What’s your score?” Jamil ask looking at my sheet. I look down at the empty sheet.
“Zero.” I show him as he smiles laughing.
“Wow. Well I win.” He smirks.
“Uh no I did.” Nate shows him his sheet which he was secretly filling out. Of course he was trying to one up Jamil.
“W-What?” Jamil slouches against Nate and I as Nate pulls me away from Jamil and he falls to the ground. “You’re evil.”
“Sorry.” I reach down to help Jamil up as he gives me a thankful look.
“So what are we going to eat?” Erin ask as she links arms with me.
“Oh I’m hungry for anything.” Lucas shrugs.
We head to designated cars driving down to to a pizza place. My mouth slightly waters at the thought of pizza because I love pizza. Like LOVE pizza.
“I’ll go get our table ready and get some pizzas coming.” Jamil leaves with Paige as Nate parks the car. We get out catching up with Lucas Erin and Reuben.
“I didn’t realize how hungry I was until I smelt the pizza from here.” Erin whines rubbing her stomach.
“Same here. Jamil got the table and some pizzas coming.” Travis smiles as we walk in the building. We get to our table sitting down as the waiter takes our drink order.
“Want to come over tonight?” Nate ask as I shake my head.
“Not while my brother is here. He will surely lose the s**t he’s been holding this whole trip.” I laugh. “Plus he said he wants us to have dinner with him tomorrow.”
“Wow, I just asked you out and your brother is already down my throat.” He smirks as I nod.
“Well.” I smile at him. “He’s my brother. That’s his favorite thing to do. Meddle with my life.”
“I guess we will have to play along.”
“Yeah, it will not be fun.”
“So does your brother have a girlfriend? Because I’m going to shoot my shot.” Paige tells me as I roll my eyes.
“I don’t think so. So it’s safe to say go ahead.”
