Being alone with Thane and Emrys felt oddly strange. Not in a bad way, but in a way , I didn't quite know what to say kind of way and i knew they felt the same because I could sense it.
Sitting down on the edge of my bed, I stared straight ahead and every word i thought about uttering somehow got stuck on my lips.
Finally, I cleared my throat. “Are you hungry?” I managed to squeeze out and even to my ears it sounded forced.
Thane stared at me, his eyebrows lifted, but it was Emrys that spoke. “We are fine, Aspen, and even if we were then, we would not feed from you now.”
