Ben My wolf's body elongated as I sped between the closely packed trunks of the trees. Pushing myself to my absolute limits. Usually the feel of the wind in my fur made me feel better. It cleared my mind, but not tonight. Tonight my mind was back at the pack house, with the witch who was my mate, but also seemed to think three other creatures might be her as well. I didn't share. That wasn't something that happened in my pack, although I knew it did in others. My lips pulled back from my teeth and I snarled into the wind. I would not share her. If she forced the issue, then I would reject her. That's what everyone wanted anyway. The pack wanted me to make an alliance. One that would strengthen us. It would be easier for everyone if I just did that and got it over and done with. Exc
