The Anonymous Devil

Sometimes easy, sometimes hard but this shall too pass. ~Unknown She was sitting alone at the beach enjoying the view to relieve her stress. The stars were twinkling in the sky. It was calm there, but there were thousands of thoughts in her mind, when suddenly a storm came out of nowhere lightning flashed with it. The night was dark so she decided to go back home. Everywhere was desolation and there was no escape. The wind was so strong that her feet were shaking she could not even stand properly The screams of the witches echoed around her. Such terrible surroundings had ended her hope that she would not be able to stay alive. She was all alone that night,she was very nervous. She doesn't know if she will survive or not ,suddenly she sees a shadow . She runs forward but notices the shadow constantly following her. Fearing this shadow, she is just running and somehow wants to reach home as soon as possible. With these horrible surroundings, she starts to feel helpless. Suddenly she wakes up in her helplessness. She sits in a frightened state, she notices she was lying on her bed covered in sweat, she sighed in gratitude that it was all just a horrible dream. ---------------------------------------- On early morning as usual today, she woke up at the first ring of the alarm. She left her bed and tied up her long blonde hair in a catcher. Her mother entered her room unannounced through the door and started getting angry with her. She was used to hear this bitter tone of her mother. Her mother berated her that she should be ashamed of herself for sleeping so long. "We are sitting here hungry, go and prepare breakfast for all of us." Her mother screamed at her. After her mother left she freshened up and entered the kitchen. She first made an omelette then toasted bread then made tea. Her mother ordered that breakfast would be served on the dining table today. During breakfast, her father asked her, "Sweetheart, How are your studies going?" She said, "It is going well so far and inform about her upcoming exams." After breakfast, she went to her bedroom and started getting ready to go to university. She decided to wear white shirt, blue jeans and black denim jacket over it. Her bedroom was on the top floor and she came downstairs when her mother ordered her to wash all clothes. "Mom, I am getting late" she said, hearing this her mother came closer and gave her a hard slap "until you don't complete this work you can't go outside." The girl stood there for a while finally she thought that it is right to obey her stepmother. She finished washing clothes, she realized it was too late for university, she gave up her intention and lay down on the bed. Then she remembered that she didn't finish her assignment and tomorrow is the deadline so she went to pickup the books from her dressing table suddenly her eyes fell on the mirror. She looked at herself, fair complexion, beautiful deep lake like eyes that maybe held a secret, the delicate bud like lips, thin upturned nose that was the glory of her round face. Her face was so innocent. She started smiling at herself in the mirror but moments later she started crying spontaneously. She wiped her tears harshly Once again she looked at herself in the mirror and said to herself, "I am like an ocean and no one can reach the depth of this ocean."
