ALEX POV:

The moment my brother wanted to come workout with me was weird. Yeah, we have trained together, but he has become more distant from me since he became Alpha. I know our parents left him in a bind, but I have always been there for him no matter what. And when he started to date the slut Ashley. When he was with her, I was barely around him. It was weird. Then suddenly he wanted to train with me. It was weird. Yeah, I know I am leaving for a little bit to follow my dreams. Yeah, I know my brother loves me, I know he will always be there for me when I need him the most. Yes, I wish we were as close as we were when we were kids. I honestly blame mom and dad. They literally just took off and started traveling when they were funneling money out of the pack funds. When Zane first found out, he put a stop to it. And our mother was pissed she didn’t have access to the money in the pack anymore. Dad never knew anything about it. That is why my brother and dad still talk, but he refuses to have anything to do with our mother. He won't even call her back when she calls for holidays and happy birthdays. He made it clear he wanted nothing to do with her at all. Any time I tell him that she texted me to see how we were doing, he says tell her to shove it and to f**k off she doesn’t deserve to know anything about us or this pack. Because once she comes back from their trip she is effectively banned, no ifs ands or butts. So, after that, I never told him where they were, besides if they were on their way home, because he is my brother and I didn’t want to lie to him. But I was getting off-topic. When I told him, I needed to talk to him about my departure date for a little while. I know we never really talk about it, but this is something my gut has been telling me to do for a really long time. I just then took the leap. So when I mindlinked him that I needed to talk to him, he was at the border to patrol with our warriors. He always thinks of ways to help the warriors and make sure everyone in the pack is safe and happy. Once he was in the room and I was telling him about me leaving, he was supportive of what I wanted to do. I knew he didn’t like this idea, but he would let me do what makes me happy. He is a good brother and Alpha and I will not say anything about that. When he asked if I wanted to help patrol for a few hours, I said yeah because I wanted to spend some more time with my brother even if we were working. Once we were down there for a few hours, he started to act weird, like he was distracted. That is when he told me he would be back and then left. After he told me he wasn't coming back and to have a good night, I knew he was most likely tired. My brother always works and barely takes time to do anything else. It doesn’t help that he doesn't have a Luna yet, even though he is twenty-two. And this Ashley situation is not getting any better at all. It is stupid. All she wants is the money and the power to bully and boss people around. Once I was in my room, I got a quick shower and I got ready for bed. I set my alarm clock and I instantly fell right to sleep.
