Chapter 56 - The Heavy Tension
Lucille’s POV
We go back to the floor where Franco and mine’s offices are in complete and heavy silence, but still hand in hand. Somehow, the small gesture is intimate enough to both ease my worries and also make me more nervous and curious.
As we pass by Bianca’s desk, she looks at the both of us and shoots me a sympathetic smile which doesn't help me, but it does make my heart drop even further in my stomach.
The crazy thought slams into my brain like a runaway train. Suddenly, Helen’s words ring loud in my head: ‘pretty sure’ that the baby is Martin’s. No, no. The world is not this f****d up that I will find out about Franco being Candy’s baby daddy, right?
