Chapter Three: Meet Again

On Monday morning, Violet slowly opened her eyes when she heard the loud sound of her alarm clock beside her bed. After that, she gently rubs her eyes before getting up in bed. Violet wasted no time and entered her bathroom to take a bath. After finishing her bath, Violet chose to wear blank pants and a crop top, and then she paired them with her sneakers. Looking at the mirror inside her room, Violet still can't believe that she went back in the past, that it was too traumatizing for her. Since she needed another weapon, Violet decided to go back to Magical Wolf to buy some equipment that she would use to become a top-tier assassin again. She was in the middle of brushing her hair when Violet heard a sudden knock outside her room. The way the person knocks on her door, Violet can't be wrong; whoever is outside her room is in a hurry.

With that, Violet walks toward her door and opens it while looking annoyed because of the person who disturbed her. And then, Violet saw Red waiting for her outside her room with crossed arms and a disgusted expression while looking at her from head to toe. Suddenly, Violet gets irritated again just by merely looking at Red's face. As for Red, she looks furious with Violet since she's been waiting for so long outside the room. A wicked smile plastered on Violet's face when she noticed the bruises on Red's body that were inflicted by her. In the blink of an eye, Violet changed her expression when she saw that Red, her maid, was staring at her.

She knew that tormenting her maid was wrong. However, Violet couldn't hide the fact that until now, she couldn't forget how Red made her life a living hell in her past life. In addition, Violet always remembers the time when Red didn't give her a single meal for a week because of her small mistakes. Aside from that, Violet didn't forget the most important thing that happened when Red imprisoned her in the attic of their mansion while her hands and feet were shackled. Thinking about the past, Violet's blood boiled like magma in the volcano that is waiting to explode. Although Violet wanted to hurt Red again, she chose to calm herself since she knew that if she got furious, there was a chance that she might kill their maid.

"What do you want?" Violet asks Red while she's raising her left eyebrow.

The food is ready! What are you waiting for? Leave your room and eat your breakfast! " Red replied to Violet while she was crossing her arms.

Looking at Red's actions towards her, Violet can't believe that her maid is not afraid of her. All of a sudden, Violet plastered a devilish grin when she realized that maybe someone was supporting her maid since Red had the guts to answer her without a doubt. Rather than being scared of Red, Violet shakes her head before answering her maid again. As for Red, she's waiting for the answer from Violet while she's still crossing her arm, then she raises her left eyebrow again.

"I'm not going to eat here!" Violet answered in an aggravated manner.

Don't be stubborn, Violet! Your father is waiting for you in the dining area! "

Violet froze for a moment because of what she heard from Red. She can't deny that there is a part of her heart that is happy because, for the first time in her life, her father is waiting for her to eat breakfast with him. However, Violet suddenly remembered her past life again when her father ignored and treated her like trash. Afraid that she would be hurt because of her father, Violet chose not to eat together with him. Since then, until now, Violet can't forget the pain that she felt in her past life because of her father. That's why she makes her heart hard as a stone because Violet didn't want to be hurt over and over again.

I don't care if he's waiting for me in the dining area! You heard me, right? I said I am not going to eat here! " Violet yells in front of Red while her fist is turning into a tight ball.

"You're going to eat here or I'm going to lock you up in the attic again."

"You can't frighten me anymore, Red!"

After that, Violet closes her door and continues what she's doing. When she's content with her looks, Violet leaves her room and decides to go to the Magical Wolf to buy something. As she was walking downstairs, Violet happened to see her father waiting for her at their dining table. Whenever she sees her father's face, Violet can't hide the fact that she remembers her past life and how he mistreated her like she was not his daughter. For that reason, she can't help but get furious at him since, in her past life, she did everything just to make her father love her as his daughter. All her efforts were wasted because of her stepsister.

"Where are you going, young lady?" Raeburn blurted out while staring at Violet.

"It's a secret and I don't want to tell you!" Violet replied to Raeburn with a blank expression plastered on her face.

I'm asking you, Violet! Where are you going? " Raeburn yells at Violet while he's clenching his jaw?

Instead of answering him, Violet continues walking until she arrives outside their mansion. She was going to ride in her car when she saw a familiar face outside their gate. While creasing her forehead, she walks towards the gate to ask the person who now looks uneasy, causing her to get confused. Furthermore, Violet didn't expect to see Dustin again since, as far as she remembered, he was a busy and mysterious person.

"What are you doing here, Dustin?" Violet asks in confusion.

"I need your favor if it is okay with you," Dustin let out, with a problematic look while he was sweating too much.

"And what kind of favor is that?" Violet raises a question while she's raising her left eyebrow.

Dustin takes a deep breath before answering Violet, who is still looking confused in front of him. It's about my son. He wants to see you. "

I'm sorry, but I have something important that needs to be done.

"Just this once, Violet. My son is having a tantrum and he can't stop crying until he sees you. "

"Fine."

All of a sudden, a small smile crept onto his face because of what he had heard. Therefore, they didn't waste their time going to his mansion since, until now, his son was still crying and not eating his food. Since Dustin is worried about his son, he drives faster while Violet is silent on his side, looking outside with a serious expression on her face.

On their way into Armstrong's Mansion, Violet can't understand why she can't disagree with Dustin when she hears that his son is having a tantrum. The truth is, as assassins, they are taught to have a strong personality and to suppress their emotions. However, Violet can't hide the fact that she is concerned about Dustin's child, despite the fact that she is not related to the child.

Dustin was in the middle of his drive when he noticed that someone was following them. When Dustin is going to tell Violet not to be afraid of the people who are following them, he gets shocked because she didn't even flinch. As he looks at Violet, Dustin can't help but get confused, since, based on her reaction, he feels like she's used to danger. All of a sudden, Dustin gritted his teeth when someone shot at his car. With that, Dustin can't help but curse in his mind since his enemies are at the wrong time, and he doesn't want to scare Violet because of them.

I'm sorry, Violet, you experienced this kind of scenario.

No worries, Dustin, I'm used to it. By the way, where's your gun? "

"Gun? What will you do with my gun? " Dustin asks in confusion while he's still driving his car.

Violet takes a deep breath when someone shoots their car again before talking to Dustin. I will shoot them. So, where's your gun? "

"My only gun here in my car is a shotgun. I'm sorry, I don't have the gun for a woman like you.

"Where is that gun?"

Dustin explains to Violet, "In the backseat of my car, it's inside the black bag."

With that, Violet didn't waste her time and got the gun from the black bag. After that, she didn't think twice and opened the window of the car. With a smirk on her face, she targets the car that is still following them, and then Violet pulls the trigger of the gun. In just the blink of an eye, the car that Violet targeted exploded like a volcano when she killed the driver, causing them to bump into another car.

Gotcha! "I knew it! They're just weaklings! " Violet blurted something out while she was holding the shotgun.

"Holy cow, Violet! I didn't know that you used a gun! And, it's not just a gun, it's a shotgun! " Dustin let out a breath, his eyes widening because of what he saw.

"I told you, I'm used to it!" Violet answered with a big smile on her face.

When they look at their back, all they can see is the burning cars. With that, a big smile was plastered on their faces before leaving the area. Since his enemies are gone because of Violet, Dustin drives faster going to his mansion. Aside from that, he realized that his son, Nickel, was still waiting for them. Even though he was confused about the identity of Violet, Dustin chose not to ask her since he knew that he didn't have the right to inquire about her.

"Thank you, Violet."

"You're welcome, Dustin."

After that, they are engulfed in silence while they are still on their way to Armstrong's Mansion. Although Violet noticed the confusion in Dustin's eyes because of what she did, she chose to ignore it since she didn't want to explain anything to him about her identity. Besides, she doesn't want to explain to Dustin her secret.
