Chapter Four: A Mother's Love

Two hours had passed when Violet and Dustin arrived at his mansion. And, until now, Dustin couldn't believe what he saw earlier when someone was following them. For that reason, Dustin can't deny to himself that he was amazed at what she did to his enemies. As for Violet, she can't deny the fact that she is amazed by looking at Dustin's Mansion. Though there were unexpected events that happened earlier, Violet chose to ignore that idea and got out of the car. Just like her, Dustin gets off of his car and takes a deep breath before looking at Violet. Staring at Violet, Dustin didn't understand himself since, in just a blink of an eye, all of his worries vanished because of the woman in front of him. And then, Violet noticed that Dustin was glancing at her. Rather than looking at him, she chose to ignore him and continue gawking at the enormous mansion in front of her.

Violet knew that their mansion was huge too, but she didn't expect that Armstrong's property was three times their assets. That's why she can't help but feel amazed at the enormous mansion in front of her. Suddenly, Violet creases her forehead when she notices the serious expression on Dustin's face. With that, she can't help but be confused since Violet felt that Dustin's personality changed when they were in his mansion. Rather than asking him, Violet chose to keep silent while waiting for Dustin's permission to enter his mansion.

"Violet, let's go inside. My son is already waiting for you."

"Sure! By the way, what is the name of your son?" Violet asks in confusion.

"He's Nickel Armstrong, five years of age," Dustin replied while they are entering his mansion.

Instead of answering Dustin, they continued walking inside the mansion. When they are already inside the mansion, Violet is startled because of the scene she saw. Inside the mansion, a child is sitting on the couch while sobbing hard. All of a sudden, Violet can't understand why she feels a sharp pain in her chest by just looking at the child in front of her. All of a sudden, Violet wants to hug the child and wipe his tears since she doesn't want to see him cry. And then, Violet realized something while she was looking at the child. After that, Violet glances at Dustin, as if she's asking him what's happening.

Wait... How come he's looking for me when he didn't know that I was the one who saved him? Violet blurted out with confusion in her eyes.

"I just tell him the truth that someone saves him," Dustin replied at Violet.

"And, because of that, he wants to look for me? What if, I'm a bad person?"

"The truth is, his maid told him that the one who saves him is a woman. And, because he wants a mother he's eager to see you. Besides, I knew from the start that you're not a bad person," Dustin explains to Violet while he's also looking at Nickel, his son.

Violet is going to answer Dustin when she noticed Nickel is looking at her. And then, Violet is shocked when she saw Nickel wipes his tears and runs in her direction. Nickel is already in front of them when he immediately hugs Violet with a big smile on his face. With that, Violet looks at Dustin like she's asking what she's going to do. Looking at the child, Violet found herself smiling at Nickel while she's caressing his soft hair. In just a blink of an eye, Violet felt that she became a mother even though she knew that she doesn't have a child.

"Mommy! Finally, you're here! You won't leave me again right, mommy?" Nickel said happily.

For a moment, Violet got silent since she doesn't know how to react because of what Nickel said to her. With that, Violet looks at Dustin like she's asking for help from him. Therefore, Dustin is the one who answers to his son who's still hugging Violet. He's also ashamed since Dustin didn't expect that Nickel will call her mommy.

"Son, you're mother is tired," Dustin let out while he's looking at Nickel.

"I know, daddy, but I miss her badly!

"Mishka, bring my son in his room," Dustin told to his maid with a serious expression written on his face.

With that, Mishka didn't waste her time and carries Nickel towards his room. While Violet is looking confused about what happened. Though, Violet is confused she chose to follow Dustin inside his office. Dustin and Violet are already in the office when she didn't waste her time and asks him about what happened earlier.

"Tell me, why is your son called me mommy?" Violet blurted out with a furrowed forehead.

Dustin takes a deep breath before answering Violet who is now looks annoyed in front of him. "I don't know, Violet. I'll bring you here because my son said that he wants to say thank you. But, I didn't expect that he will call you like that," Dustin explains to Violet.

Rather than, arguing with him, Violet looks at Dustin before sitting on the chair near his table. After that, she looks at him with a serious expression plastered on her face. For that reason, Dustin can't help himself why he feels nervous looking at the woman in front of him. He knows that he has many connections, however, no matter how he investigates her, he didn't find a single piece of information about her. That's why Dustin can't help but feel confused even more about the identity of Violet West. He is going to speak again when they heard a knock outside his office.

And then, he saw his maid opening the door of his office with a pale manifestation while she was trembling in fear. For that reason, Dustin and Violet are confused because of the action of Mishka in front of them. All of a sudden, Mishka can't hide her fear, causing them to get bewildered even more. As for Mishka, she walks slowly in front of them.

"Mishka, are you okay? You look scared at something," Dustin asks in confusion.

"I-I'm sorry, Sir. T-This is all my fault why Young Master calls your guest with that endearment. The truth is, I'm the one who told him that your visitor is his mother," Mishka explains while she's still trembling in fear.

"Why did you tell him that Violet is his mother? You know that Nickel is still a child and he believes easily."

"That's because I don't want him to cry even more. Besides, I can't forget her since she's the woman in the viral video who's fighting with some drunk men."

"And, that's your reason?"

"Yes, Sir. I'm sorry, Sir. I'm sorry, Ma'am Violet."

Violet takes a deep breath before interfering with their conversation. With a calm expression, Violet looks at Mishka, who is still frightened in front of them. "It's okay, Mishka. You can leave us now."

"T-Thank you and I'm sorry, again, Ma'am Violet."

And then, Mishka leaves the room in a hurry. When Violet and Dustin are only the people in the room, they stared at each other like they are waiting for who's gonna talk first. Rather than talking to him, Violet chose to keep silent for a while. Reckoning about what she's gonna, Violet found herself biting her lips while thinking how she acts like Nickel's mother.
