Not Alone

I didn't pick up on any scents. I knocked on the cabin door. No answer. I walked along the cabin peeking into the windows and saw no one. From what I saw it looked abandoned. The kitchen table looked like it was cherry oak, but mostly grey from the dust build up. A pile of dishes filled the sink. I saw a rocking chair with a red and green throw cover hanging from the left corner of the chair. There was unkept bed, with runny little colorful pillows. I reached for the doorknob. Unlocked. I threw the frogs in a shoe box to free my hands. I looked for a rag to clean the dishes. Hopefully there was water. Oh thank goddess! The river wasn't far at all, so whomever made plumping to the cabin was a genius. I certainly would have no clue. I finally washed all the dishes so I had enough room to fill the cauldron up. I lit it and threw the frogs in.I found some spices on a rack and threw some in there as well. As they cooked I started to clean the table so I could sit and eat. I started to clear up the table and decided what was trash and usable. I saw a poster. It read 'WANTED: Willa Sertings. For use of black magic on Midnight Pack. $2,000,000! The picture used looked like a young girl, about my age. Dark brown hair in a pixie cut. Beautiful emerald eyes. She looked feisty. "I hope she gets away with whatever she did to Midnight. They deserve every bit of darkness in their lives." I said out loud. I was angry all over again, seeing the words Midnight Pack brought up that painful day. I thought they would've been disbanded by now! "I will." I heard back. I turned around. There was the girl in the poster! She was in black leggings and a camouflage long sleeve. She was gorgeous, the sun hit her eyes in the right angle. She looked like her eyes could glow in the dark. "I'm sorry!" noticing I'm just staring at her like a creep. "Am I breaking and entering? I'm so sorry!" I apologized. I headed towards the door. "You're Alpha Daniel's daughter. Stay. Or at least eat what you're cooking. It smells delicious." She walked towards the cauldron out of curiosity. "Frogs?" "Yes, I use to eat them a lot when I would go camping," I said nervously, "How do you know who I am?" I sat the at the table cautiously and she sat down too. "I read it in the papers, what happened to your pack. There was a photo on your family on the front. I knew after the attack I had do something. Damion also killed my father before he went up to Dark Wood." My heart broke for her, I knew the feeling of losing a parent. "Was he in the same pack?" She smiled at my question. "My bloodline is not wolf. I'm a wizard, well witch I guess some would say." It made sense. The poster said she was wanted for black magic use. I wanted to know more but I didn't want to pry. "Care for some frog legs?" I asked. "I'd eat anything right about now. I've been on the run for a few days... I think I have some ingredients for a decent salad I can add." Willa said and went up to the fridge. I placed our plates down and helped her.
