Willa POV
There was only a few eggs left in the fridge. I decided to make some breakfast for Allison and I before I left to Silver Moon.
"I have to move on from this forest but you're more than welcome to stay here. Just be safe, there are dangerous rogues around these woods."
She seemed out of it. I felt bad for the girl. I wanted to invite her but she didn't need anymore trouble. She walked out the bathroom, her blonde hair in a messy bun, white tank top and some ripped up jeans.
"I have something to ask you." Her eyes stared at the floor. "Uh-oh, what is it?" I asked. She looked super uncomfortable. I placed our plates down. She reached for her backpack and pulled out a ring box. A tiny note fell out and she quickly grabbed it and put it in her pocket. I was really confused. "What is it?" She handed me a beautiful yellow, heart shaped ring.
"I don't know if I'll ever see you again. The people that could answer my questions are either dead or not on speaking terms with me. I.. well... it might sound silly... but... is... does this ring have magic?" She asked, with her head looking down. She looked embarrassed.
Oh, she's asking because I'm a witch. I smiled, she trusted me to ask. I focused on the ring. The shine was brilliant, I had it in my hand, closed my fist, and then my eyes. If it had any elements of magic the diamond would have memories of use. I saw a woman shift in a forest, screams, attacks, memories in fragments. Blood. Battles. A huge werewolf, alpha maybe? Seemed to be the mate of the previous owner. I focused more. Fire elements. Wolves on fire. Wild fires. Houses. My hand started to burn.
"F**K!" I dropped the ring out of pain. My hand was hot, as if I touched flames. Who was Alison really, why did she have this ring? I looked at it closely, it had initials in the diamond. WS -Walker Sertings, my father. My family made these for Lunas. Lent them our magic in trust.
"Allison, who gave this you?" I asked her backing away. Her eyes lit up, she was scared as well. That made both of us.
