Kat's love

"Hey Kat!" yelled Felisha from a crossed the commons. It's Sunday night, and Kat is at a dance her high school is hosting. Felisha and Kat are best friends, but they were complete opposites, but they always brought the best out of each other. Kat was shy and kept to herself a lot. While Felisha was always outgoing and bubbly. She always spoke her mind. Felisha was five foot five and built like a Barbie doll. She had black hair and green eyes. She was wearing a red dress that clung to her curves, stopping just above her knees. The shoes she was wearing were silver sparkly stiletto. Felisha, her boyfriend Moxon, and another boy that Kat didn't know were walking over to talk to her. Kat assumed the other boy was Moxon's best friend Erik, whom Moxon said was going to be going to school with then starting tomorrow. Kat and Felisha have been best friends their whole lives, and they have known Moxon since kindergarten, when he had moved to town. Moxon was tall and well built. He had dark brown and honey brown eyes. Moxon had said that he and Erik were born in the same hospital on the same day at almost the same time, and they had been best friends every since. When they got to Kat, Felisha hugged Kat, then said, "I've been looking for you everywhere. What's up? I thought you weren't coming tonight." "So you did get my text. I changed my mind. I decided I was not just going to sit at home alone in my room when everyone was here having fun." Kat replies, then turns to her other friend and says, "Hey Moxon, what's up?" "Hey Kat, nothing much." He said, then points to the guy next to him and says, "This is Erik." Erik was tall, buff, and sexy hot. He had short shaggy light brown hair and piercing, light green eyes. "Hey Erik, Im Kat. It's nice to finally meet you." "Nice to meet you too." He said with a big smile, "I've heard a lot about you from Moxon, but he never said how cute you are." Kat blushed, not used to receiving complaints from the guys at her school. Kat thought to herself, "This guy is something else. He's really outgoing and sweet." While Kat isn't the confident type, she knew she did look good tonight. Kat is tall with a slender hourglass figure. She had blonde hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a cute black knee-length A-frame strapless dress with a glitter like design around the hem that sparkled under the lights. Over her dress, she wore a jean jacket, and her shoes were her favorite pair of combat boots. She wore very little makeup, just enough to make her eyes pop. All in all, she looked natural and beautiful. "Moxon, dude, how come you didn't tell me she was cute." Erik said, turning to their friend. "I dont know," Moxon replied, "I never thought about her like that. Man, she's like my sister." Moxon was over six feet tall, taller than Kat at five foot eight. He also worked out regularly, so he was stronger than her, too. So Kat was helpless when Moxon walked over to her, picked her up, and cradled her like a baby. "Put me down!" Kat giggled, slapping Moxons chest. Everyone laughed as Moxon put her down back onto her feet. Kat is clumsy and stumbled forward, almost falling to the floor. However, she fell into Eriks' arms instead. Kat turned a bright shade of red. "Are you okay?" Both of the boys ask her. "Yeah, Im fine." Kat replies, "I can be clumsy." She says to Erik, still in his arms. Felisha grabbed Moxons hand and started to pull him to the dance floor. She looks to Kat and Erik and says in a teasing voice, "Come on, Moxon, let's dance. See you guys later..." "I have a feeling she is playing matchmaker again, and this time we're her guinea pigs." Kat says to Erik. She feels the warmth of being in his arms. "Yeah, I'm guessing you're right." Erik said, finally letting her go, "Would you like to dance?" Erik did not give Kat the chance to respond before he was pulling her to the dance floor. The song was almost over, but that didn't matter to them. They started to dance, and Kat was having a blast with Erik.After a few songs, a slow song came on. Erik got really close to Kat. "I'm not really good at dancing to this type of music." Kat said to him. Erik ignored her words and slid his hands around her waist. Moving on instinct, Kat lifted her arms and wrapped them around his neck. They got closer to each other, closer then Kat had been to anyone in a while. Kat could feel the warmth coming from Erik again. She laid her head on to his chest. She could feel his muscles through his shirt. Before Kat knew it, the song ended. Felisha and Moxon had reappeared next to them. Felisha had a huge smile on her face and said, "Bathroom break!" She pulled Kat out of Erik's arms and pulled her toward the bathroom. The girls walked until they were out of sight of the boys. As soon as they were, they started running to the bathroom, giggling the whole way. "You so like him." Felisha said once they entered the bathroom. "I dont know, maybe." Kat replied while blushing again. She hopped up to sit on the counter. "Well, he likes you." Felisha said "No way. How do you know?" Kat replied, not believing her friend. "Yeah, he does, I just know he does." Felisha says, "Can't you tell when he flirts with you? You two would be so cute together." "I still dont know." Kat said, shying away. "Well, what are you going to do if he tries to kiss you or something?? I know you like him and he's not like..." "Please dont go there. Yes, I like him, okay. He's really cute and nice, but im not sure he likes me, and you know im not allowed." "Screw your mom's rules. I know he likes you. You should just tell him, or are you going to shy away like you always do?" Felisha said, seeming slightly annoyed, She looked at Kat and then answered her own question, "You're just gonna be shy." "So what if im shy? It's not a crime." Kat replied to her friend. Felisha knew she had upset Kat. Felisha, being who she was, responded, "There is nothing wrong with being shy... I'll just... tell him for you." She smiled and ran out the door. Kat got off the counter, almost falling again, and ran after Felisha, but she didn't catch her before she made it to the boys. When Kat did catch up, Felisha was already talking to Erik. "Erik, do you like Kat, or what?? I mean, like, really like her." Erik looked at Kat, walking up to them and saw that she was close enough to hear him respond, "Hell yeah!" Luckily for Kat, she was already red and wouldn't embarrass herself again. Erik saw her reaction and smiled. "I think he likes having an effect on me." Kat thought to herself. "Well, I know for a fact she likes you." Felisha said. She, apparently, had not seen that Kat was close to them yet. Erik looked at Kat and asked, "Is that true?" Felishs looked confused until Kat finally spoke up and replied, "Yeah." Filsha turned around, almost jumping out of her skin. Moxon, who was just sitting back watching the whole conversation play out, started laughing, and Felisha slapped his arm. "Let's go. My job here is done." She said to Moxon and started walking away. "Bye," Kat said, teasing her this time. Felisha gave her a dirty look playfully and took Moxon back to the dance floor. When Kat and Erik were alone, he got closer to her again. Kat looked away, feeling shy again, and asked, "Were you serious when you said 'Hell yeah'?"" "Yes," he replied, "Come on, let's dance." Again, Kat was on the dance floor before she could even blink. She didn't really hear the music. All she knew was that it was a slow song. All she could focus on was how close they were and the feeling of his warm breath on her face. "I really do like you, Kat." He finally said while they danced, "If that's where you want to leave things, that fine because I know that you're shy, and I like that about you." "Y-you do?" Kat replied in a small voice. He nodded, and Kat added, "But we hardly know each other." He stopped dancing and said, "Then let's fix that. We do go to school together now. We have plenty of time to get to know each other." "We do." Kat smiled. Erik smiled even bigger, having gotten her to smile. For the first time since they started dancing, Kat looked at the people around them and noticed that the music had ended. People were starting to leave. Kat called her mom to come pick up, and she and Erik headed outside. While they walked, Erik reached over and held her hand. When they got outside, it was cold, so Eirk wrapped his arm around Kat to keep her warm till they got to the parking lot. Kat was slowly starting to feel more comfortable. When they got to the parking lot, Kats' ride wasn't there yet, but Erik had driven is truck. He slipped his arm off Kat and started to say, "I'll see you tomorrow." "Do i get a hug?" Kat asked. Erik smiled and lend in and hugged her. Then without either of them even thinking about it, Erik kissed her and she let him. It was a classic first kiss, short and sweet but it felt longer then it was. When the kiss was over and Kat opened her eyes she saw her ride was about to pull into the parking lot. She put a safe distance between her and Erik, who was now looking confused. "So I'll see you here tomorrow??" Kat asked. "Yeah." Erik went to step closer but Kat started to slowly back away to her car. Kat smiled and hoped she wasn't giving him mixed signals. She said, "Okay, cool." and ran off to her car.
